Originally released in 1990 for the MS-DOS operating system, it was later ported to the Amiga, the Sega CD, and the SNES.

The original Eye of the Beholder featured a first-person perspective, in a three-dimensional dungeon. The player controls four characters, using a point-and-click interface to fight monsters.
