Hot-B's answer to
Tetris, Palamedes is a game where players use dice to create specific combos, each varying in strength.
With a set number of lines to be achieved for each round, success is made by launching your players dice at the falling field of numbered dice. If you hit one of a similar number, it will end up in your row, starting a sequence. Once you have a combination you approve of, you're scored on that, and however many lines you get are the number of lines that are eliminated from your goal, and also from the field of play.
Similar to hands in a game of poker, certain combinations are stronger than others. Simply matching three like numbers will give you "1 Line," while stringing four, five, or six together would give you more. You can also get straights, ranging from three to six in a row. Furthermore, you can get creative and combine them. A 2-3-4-4-4-4 would theoretically yield "3 Lines" (one for 2-3-4, and two additional for 4-4-4-4).
And
in true Hot-B fashion, if you forget how you're scored for each line, simply look at the label. This, however, is generally useless unless you have a toploader..
