It's just you, your trusty skateboard, and a hundred bucks as you skate, jump, slide, spin and more through four levels of difficulty, picking up loose cash, earning money through events, and finally, earn a ticket to one of the big skate parks! If you're lucky, you'll get to buy some rad equipment to make you the coolest skateboarder alive.Dudes and dudettes, pop an ollie and grab some air in this hip game by Mindscape, named after the ultimate trick (wayyy before anyone was crazy enough to
attempt another rotation)!! In this game, players assume the role of a lowly skateboarder heeling it around town. From section to section, you'll participate in a variety events consisting of Slalom, Jump, Ramp, and Downhill. Graded on your performance in each area, you'll earn a medal ranking, points, and money, the latter of the bunch useful for buying new equipment and upgrading your gear.
If you take too long to make a selection on where to go next between rounds, you are told to
Skate or Die. As legend has it (no foolin'), that phrase alone would go on to inspire a strikingly similar game just one year later by Ultra, and named as such.
