I'd totally get this game if Age of Calamity hadn't rug-pulled everyone with its fanfic story. Hard pass.

I will definitely be getting this game Day 1. I played both Hyrule Warrior games until everything was unlocked. It's so satisfying.

I couldn't get into Age of Calamity's gameplay (skipped the original entirely). So I'll be watching a playthrough at some point to see what lore is revealed and whether this is another non-canon rug pull, but that's my only interest in this.

If you think about it, this might be the first real display of what a ground-up Switch 2 Zelda game could look like.

Anyone playing this? I got this with my Switch 2 a month ago, and it definitely takes a long time to actually get going into the classic Warriors formula. Once you get through all the story, it goes well. Lots of inconsequential new characters, but fun abilities, you got the sky and the depths, and the game looks stunning. So many characters on screen at once!

The camera is janky though, not the best. And controls seem a little more loosy goosy compared to the others, but maybe that's just me. Having fun though!
