Tis the nature of the beast but rumors are that in the coming week we'll see a Nintendo Direct. Long-awaited we haven't had a proper Direct for a LONG time now; certainly longer than we're used to. Due to my schedule and the uncertainty of things, I'm possibly getting this game prepared and published too dang close to the event, but we'll see who can participate anyway. The Nintendo Switch 2 has been out for a full year now and a lot of franchises have shown up, but there is yet so much potential still on the horizon. I hope everyone is as excited as I am!.. (more)

The end of an era is here but with it is a new beginning. At the end of March we saw a Nintendo Direct which closed out the Switch-only era. This past week brought another Nintendo Direct dedicated to the Nintendo Switch 2. For many of us it exceeded expectations and it definitely brought surprises… whether good or bad. It was fun to do the Predict-a-ton for this event because so much is up in the air and there is so much potential. Let’s jump right in and see how things worked out... (more)

We are on the precipice of a new era of Nintendo. The more I think about it the more excited I am. We have now enjoyed eight full years of the Nintendo Switch and it really has changed the trajectory of the company. We’re two years past the last 3D Zelda…. over seven years since the last 3D Mario… and even five years since the last Animal Crossing. The next Nintendo is truly setup to surprise us. What features will be included? What enhancements are coming? What franchises will get their day in the sun? The curtain gets drawn back on April 2nd, 2025 and we’re about to see what’s coming. In anticipation, let’s see what we can predict!! (more)

It’s another year and we now know that E3 is never coming back. Still, Nintendo did announce that this year they planned to have a Nintendo Direct in June. Early June, Late June, who knows when.. but this month for sure. They also said that the next Nintendo console is incoming but that it wouldn’t be featured in this presentation. Are they lying? Are we on the cusp of learning more about Nintendo’s next system, or are we about to learn about all the remaining games coming before then? The back half of 2024 is quite unknown and we’re about to have the curtain lifted. You may notice that due to the fact that Switch 2 news is apparently on the back burner, there is very little reference to Nintendo’s next console below, but that doesn’t mean something couldn’t happen, so a couple of options bring light of that...
