Kersploosh! Review (Nintendo 3DS eShop) (7.6)  by

This game just released for $2.99 on the eShop. It's a fun little pick up and play game, and the price is right. Let's discuss the game and post our high scores.

Wow, I actually StreetPassed 3 people with this game at ACEN so far, my leaderboards look interesting now! (I'm still on the top of most of them...)

@Zero
Oh, is THAT what's going on this weekend? I heard rumblings, but I didn't know exactly what was happening. Is it fun? What's the average age of the attendees?

I'm on the fence about grabbing this with Club Nintendo coins. Someone convince me one way or the other!

Well, what other options do you have? I mean, I think it's a fun little game and I still boot it up every so often just to be reminded of how much better Conzo is than me at it, but there might be better stuff to spend your coins on.

@r_hjort

They change every month, but they're usually either stuff I have or have no interest in whatsoever. I remember being at least intrigued in Kersploosh! when it was shown in a Nintendo Direct initially. But it's also only $3, I think, so maybe it's not the most efficient use of coins...

lol -- I love how sweet the intro music is and how, when I hear it, all I can picture is the eye-bleeding, twitch-HELL this game (and you @r_hjort) put me through.

I only really nailed, say, 4 of the courses so if @Jargon gets on board I might look at the rest of them. I had a lot of fun with it.

EDIT: In case I put you off, it doesn't need to be hard-as-nails. You can have a very pleasant run-through in the space of 1 or 2 hours and be done with it. It's cute and makes a novel use of the 3D.

I wrote a review of the game somewhere on the site, for anyone who needs convincing. It's a pretty unique game that is kind of limited by its short length and single focus, but hey, it's a few hours of fun and maybe unlike much else you have played so it is worth a shot.

I can't say if it's worth the coins or not, but I agree with what @Super_Conzo and @Zero say. If you want some high speed high score chasing with a twist you should consider getting this at some point. The game could have used online leaderboards and a wider variety of wells, but what is there is pretty neat. Worst thing about the game, in my opinion, would be the intro sequences for the levels. They're more likely to make me sad than hype me up for playing, but maybe I'm an overly sensitive bore.

I was also considering grabbing this for coins, but I have a month to decide, so I'll see what people say.
