Hell yeah. HELL yeah. I love this game so much. We can use this thread to discuss any game in the series, since they're pretty similar.

Don't you love games that instead of throwing random BS at you, use one simple yet awesome game mechanic, and polish it to absolute perfection? That is the definition of a classic video game to me. And Punch-Out is one of the best examples of that. It's just so addictive, so purely fun.

Gotta love the characters too. This is how you do racial stereotypes right - you make them all equally awesome and extremely unique. My all-time favorite is Aran Ryan, because he cheats and he doesn't give a shit, plus he's Irish. Can't compete with Irish people. But I also love Piston Honda, Flamenco and Great Tiger.

So what's your favorite Punch-Out game? Mine's chocolate.

lol lol lol

I beat the Major Circuit last night. Another sweaty affair. It's a darn good workout but I can tell the combos are becoming more intricate so I'll need to switch to NES style for the World Circuit.

Can't believe I left it so long to get on board with this game. It's a riot. I had played Hanna Samurai on 3DS eshop which was satisfying but bland. The characters here are remarkable. Disco Kid forced an audible laugh from me.

Now that this is getting attention again, maybe I should use this excuse to finally try my copy...

I have the strangest feeling of déjà vu.

Whats been your favorite fight so far? I thought the King Hippo stuff was pretty boss compared to the original game.

@Mop it up

Yeah, play it! You'll enjoy itttt. Knock the croissants out of Glass Joe!

King Hippo was the first difficult fight. He mauled me a couple time before I figured out what to do. I'd even say he was trickier than the next boss, the Flamenco dude.

The Great Tiger was frustrating, but it was my own fault, I kept dodging the completely wrong way for his uppercut. Figuring out his illusion attack was sweet though.

Up next is the Irish stereotype. So that should be fun.

Don't delay! I put it off for ages but it's such a pick-up-and-play game that it shouldn't get in the way of anything else you're playing.

Aran Ryan was a head case! I loved him.
Seemed way harder than the Russian or the Turk who followed.

My next fight is Super Macho Man who's rockin' a speedo and a grey ponytail. Now who'd want to punch a guy like that?

I'm on NES controls now. Feels right... gaming fully clothed.

Super Macho Man's pre-fight thing is so awesome. I hope you LOVE IT.

Now you've got me itching to play again..every one in a while I start a new file and just see how far I can go.

I still need to get back into this game again I stopped in the rematch thingy at uh... the Irish guy I think?

/EDIT Oh, I already said this... 4 years ago. Ah well, someday.

Speaking of which, I still need to finish this game. I got all the way up to Aran Ryan on the "rematch" mode but never got further. Not because he was too hard or anything, just that other games came up. Although the fights were getting pretty darn hard at that point...

Super Macho Man clobbered me 4 times in a row last night so I limped off to bed unhappy, although the memory of his astounding pecs and glutes cheered me up.

You, all all people, should be immune.

Its unfortunate that the game can't see what they're up against. You'd be haunting SMM's dreams!

Listen up, I've seen a pic or two of you, Mr Mustache, and you cut a fine figure yourself. Rocking that badass hair. Initially I thought you were a metaler but now *coughSpiceGirlscough* I know it's a wrestling thing. If SMM could see you, giving that wild Mustache stare, he'd run back to his mama.

Jeez, where's the Flirty Thread?
Nintendo Chat, After Dark.

Oh, right, yeah, its totally a wrestling thing. Huge beard, and my hair used to be middle of my back. NICE. I remember one time I was sitting at the computer, and my Gramma was like "hi Jen!" (my sister). I slowly turned around..it was...HAHA, something.

"Where's the Flirty Thread?" Wherever we go together, Big Boy

(Or The Bond Thread, HAHA. Ohhhh, James... PS- Sorry I haven't resumed yet, I'm awful!!)
