@TriforceBunYou're talking about the Chapter 1 music? Surely that's the Underworld Theme, though, not the Title Theme. They're a bit similar in their Tanaka-ness, but they're not exactly the same. I'm pretty certain I haven't heard the awesome bridge from the Title Theme anywhere in Uprising, yet. EDIT: Just by way of demonstration, the two themes. My favorite part of the Title Theme comes at about :56 seconds in. I'm fairly certain I haven't heard this cascade of notes anywhere in Uprising. Also, did anyone hear this kick-awesome Skyworld theme anywhere? I know they aren't obligated to reuse the music from the original game but, geez, it's so good, why not? EDIT EDIT: Don't get me wrong, the original music for Uprising is really superb. 3 games and already I think Kid Icarus can go down in history as one of the great game series when it comes to incidental music. |

TriforceBun said:I thought it was very cool that they remixed the dungeon theme in chapter 7. It's such a wonky piece that I wasn't sure how it'd translate to a non-8-bit sound, but they managed to make it very cool and atmospheric. Or should I say, hamaaaaazing...! Yeah, I loved that! It's such a strange bit of music, but it's so exotic and atmospheric. That's pretty much the perfect rendition of it. EDIT: Except, listening again, that's the Overworld Theme, isn't it? Sorry to be Mr. Corrector-Of-T-Bun tonight. However, if you like the spooky Dungeon Theme, there's a nice little treat toward the end of the game. EDIT EDIT: Did anyone notice any musical references to Of Myths and Monsters? The music there is a bit more generic 8-bit stuff, though I think there's plenty they could have adapted if they wanted to. I've played through OMaM a few times, but I don't have every note seared into my brain like I do with the NES game. Anyone notice anything? |

I wouldn't play the game just for the story. That's not saying that it's bad but it's better to play through the game at a higher difficulty (I usually put it at 7.0 and sometimes made it through) and get used to it now instead of doing it low and not knowing what to expect. Of course that depends how much you plan on playing it too. The higher you start now, the better weapons you'll find, the better results from fusing as well and the more hearts you'll get. Plus that means more of the trophy hunts will be easier to accomplish later on.
I'm not sure what @Davoid meant by weapons you find being useless. They're far from being useless! As long as you play at higher difficulties of course. Once you start finding weapons that are valued at 300+ with 6 modifiers, they're keepers even if you don't like them. It makes fusing that much better once you've got a good amount stocked up. I think the ones you buy from Palutena are far too expensive. You're better off replaying levels for weapons than for hearts. I've been attempting the earlier chapters at 7 or higher and always get killed at least once, especially in the flight sections on ch. 4 and 5. Therefore the intensity drops when I press 'continue,' and I usually end up beating the level in the intensity 6 range. I wonder if part of my problem is not having great weapons? I've been using the Tiger Claws (value 301) or Artillery Claws (value 239) and sometimes the Meteor Bow (value 272). I recently got the Bomber Arm (value 277) and the Hewdraw Club (value 289). More questions:Is there a reason the stars next to 'Ranged' and 'Melee' stats on each weapon are sometimes empty and sometimes filled in? For example, my Hewdraw Club has 3 stars for 'Ranged,' 2 of which are filled in, and 4 of 5 stars filled in for 'Melee.' Also, when I sort my weapons by strength, the higher 'value' does not necessarily correspond to the highest strength, right? Does Value really indicate how much the weapon is worth if I do a heart conversion? I'm also confused about fusing weapons: is there a way to tell if the new weapon you're creating is already in your inventory? If it is, then are you really just wasting the two weapons you fuse together? |

@roykoopa64Using better weapons will make a huge difference. It was no joke when they said that each weapon has its own fighting style. You'll really have to take caution as to how you approach your enemies but I've found a great balance with the Artillery Claws. They're decent enough in melee but really shine for ranged attacks as they have a great distance compared to other claws and are very quick in reaching their target. Ever since I've been using this pair, I've completed a bunch of levels at high difficulties. I currently have 6 chapters cleared at 9.0 Is there a reason the stars next to 'Ranged' and 'Melee' stats on each weapon are sometimes empty and sometimes filled in? For example, my Hewdraw Club has 3 stars for 'Ranged,' 2 of which are filled in, and 4 of 5 stars filled in for 'Melee.'I assume that them not being filled in is the equivalent of 0.5, so having a weapon with 2 full stars and an empty one would be 2.5. Also, when I sort my weapons by strength, the higher 'value' does not necessarily correspond to the highest strength, right? Does Value really indicate how much the weapon is worth if I do a heart conversion?I guess it just sorts by value because the higher the value, the more tendency that item has to be higher in not just ranged/melee stats, but also have strong weapon modifiers as well. Its value also seems to determine how much it's worth in hearts. I'm also confused about fusing weapons: is there a way to tell if the new weapon you're creating is already in your inventory? If it is, then are you really just wasting the two weapons you fuse together? You don't really need to worry about which weapons you have or don't have, unless you just want to experiment of course. There's no way to know if you already own a weapon type as far as I know but fusing is great because it takes into consideration the modifiers of both weapons and will pick some at random (maximum of 6) that will appear on the new one (they're highlighted in yellow before you choose to fuse the weapons). That way, if you have a weapon with a great modifier, you can choose to fuse it with other weapons and hope you end up with a better weapon class that's more suited to your style of fighting. |
