@GameDadGrant and I had six (or so) good races last night. We both were consistently in the top 4 in every race. I almost beat him in Piranha Plant Slide, but we all got waxed by a Lightning Bolt towards the end of the third lap. I was running in second just a few feet from the finish line, and then some jerk ran me over, making me take third.

I looked at the standings, and quietly shook my fist at one "Grant".

I've been playing in one of the recommended communities lately. It's the one with mushrooms only, and it's a nice change of pace since you're focused 100% on racing.

I do have a few issues when playing against random people in community races, though. First, people like to start the race when there are only a few people in the room. Why not wait just one more minute to let more people join? My other issue is that since these are random people, most of them suck during the first race and then drop out. By the fourth race it's usually just me and one other person.

We should organize a mushrooms only race soon. Is there a night next week that would work for yous guys?

I'd be down with that as well. The reason I like the SNES tracks the best are because they rely on pure racing skills, and mushrooms would definitely add to that.

3. Cross your fingers that you will join without a communication error

Oops. Very sorry for keep you waiting. I’ve been having some symptoms like violent fever, coughing and lotsa mucus and turns out I may have Dengue Fever. I did have the coughing and sneezing yesterday, but I didn’t think it would fet even worse. I spent the last couple of hours trying to fight those nasty symptoms back with drinking water, taking a cold shower, taking medicines and, well, trying to get some sleep.

I completely forgot about you guys and I apologize deeply.
