Yeah, Slay the Spire is one of the best games I've played in the past 5 years. Infinitely replayable, I've put in well over 200 hours so far, and I still play it daily. It's well, well, well worth the $10!
So many people have talked up Slay the Spire and I've managed to avoid it this far. But I did just re-subscribe for a month of Game Pass and it's on there... maybe after I finish Tunic.

I hear that! I got the game last month and am already past 100 hours myself. It's crazy how easy it is to jump in and have fun, and it feels like the good kind of addictive; rather than watching a bunch of bars go up and Skinner box type stuff, it's all driven by a strong, balanced set of easy-to-understand mechanics.
@canonj I've heard it recommended before, and I probably would enjoy it. Both games seem to share some common elements with Magic the Gathering which I'm a fan of as well.
For a couple more days, Carto is on sale for 50% off! Cheapest yet on Switch! It is on Game Pass still I think. That's where I first played it and completed it. However I loved it so much I had to pick it up on Switch just to truly own it. It's one of my favorite puzzle games in a long long time. It's as if Carcassonne had a story about a delightful young girl who was trying to find her way. Awesome story, music, gameplay, etc.
Don't miss out! Good length too for what's in the package.
@DrFinkelstein Carto always looked really cool. It's definitely on my list of Humble Bundle-publushed games to pick up, along with One Step From Eden (MM Battle Network-like) and Ring of Pain. I feel like so many genres could take cues from Carcassonne or other tile-builders.
There's also a big 3DS/Wii U/Switch Capcom sale that ends tomorrow.
Target has a buy 2 get 1 free on games and according to people on r/consoledeals "right after placing the order you can modify it to cancel 1 or 2 of the games but still keep the discount on remaining games".
Non-tendo related but Castlevania: Requiem is on sale on PSN for $4. Surprising to see this before Halloween. Note, this does include the “inferior” version of Symphony of the Night with the “better” voice acting. Here
Epic Games is doing their "15 days of free games" right now, in case anyone is unaware. Every day at 11AM a new one goes up to snag for free (forever).
I will say, though, that a few days in I'm disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it's FREE, so I have no major complaints - it is only that several have been ones they just gave away for free recently, and are already "In Library." I feel like if you're going to make it an event at least put up new ones...? I dunno. I am clearly jaded by having too much free stuff to play and lack gratitude. :P
Also I may be mad that the few games I DO want to see go up on there just aren't appearing, ha ha. Oh well! Back to the backlog!
Weird to see that I posted about this before, but the ZX Collection is down to $10 now until 6/26. Should probably just get it since I wasn’t able to a few months ago. I’ve just had such a hard time getting into the Zero games. Maybe finally buying it and having it there will finally force me to get through it.
@PogueSquadron I also have a hard time getting into Mega Man Zero. Something about the cyber-elf system, the zoomed-in screen and the insane difficulty just don't all come together the way the best MMX games do. I do remember liking ZX quite a bit though.
I’m willing to give it another shot for $10! Also want to just try and support anything Mega Man that I can. Granted, buying this on a sale like this, probably not the best way, but better now than never.
Every time it goes on sale I want to try it again and then I remember the difficulty from the other times I've tried it, lol. If there was an easy mode or something, I'd be there.
