@PogueSquadron
I also have a hard time getting into Mega Man Zero. Something about the cyber-elf system, the zoomed-in screen and the insane difficulty just don't all come together the way the best MMX games do. I do remember liking ZX quite a bit though.

I’m willing to give it another shot for $10! Also want to just try and support anything Mega Man that I can. Granted, buying this on a sale like this, probably not the best way, but better now than never.
06/08/23, 01:56
@TriforceBun

Every time it goes on sale I want to try it again and then I remember the difficulty from the other times I've tried it, lol. If there was an easy mode or something, I'd be there.

@TriforceBun
As someone who really got into the series with Zero, I'm the opposite, haha. I've tried to get into Mega Man X games, but they seem so needlessly punitive. There's always some section in every level that just makes me go, "Alright, I've had enough."
07/01/23, 23:12
I really just don’t understand the game, even with the collection’s save assist feature. So like, you can fail on a level…which means you never get to try it again? And what if you pick the “wrong” levels and just fail all of them? And then you can never get extra lives so you can basically only die once before a Game Over. The Save Assist helps a little, but now I just feel stuck repeating the same boss battles over and over and over. It’s just not very transparent at all.

Back to deals, I was pretty disappointed by Prime Day. I will say though that for Target Circle members, you can currently get certain Switch Mario games for $30 off.

https://www.target.com/p/new-super-mario-bros-u-deluxe-nintendo-switch-digital/-/A-54360688

Sparks of Hope is also among their games that are 50% off. Circle members can find the offer in their wallet or whatever it’s called in the app.

At $1.99, this relaxing game is an absolute steal.

@Stan McStanly

Very click baity of you, ha ha. "THIS RELAXING GAME!"

Dun dun duuuun...
07/28/23, 14:53
@J.K. Riki Yah lol. One day it randomly popped into my head, "There's probably a Grass Touching Sim"

i love how it had a major Left Hand update.

It isn't VIDEO game related, but I know some Board Game people are on here too, so there is a cool sale happening later: https://www.gamenerdz.com/nerdz-day-2023

@J.K. Riki
Thanks for the link, but I'm not sure what's going on here! It looks like a bunch of things that are out of stock or go live later...?

To put it briefly, can I get Carcassonne on sale today at that site?
08/11/23, 17:33
Resident Evil 2 Remake is $10 on XBox right now. Might be good for Shocktober. I think it ends today or tomorrow.
09/18/23, 02:44
@TriforceBun

Oops, sorry I didn't see this! No, that sale is once a year and only on select items which go live at regular intervals so you have to sit there and refresh, lol.

But I DID get Carcassonne on Black Friday one year for really cheap, and it was on Amazon's Prime Day the other day too. So it is possible.

After far too much trouble, I loaded up on Eshop credit for 10% off, then bought a bunch of stuff:

- Metroid Prime Remastered $41.95 down from $59.95
- Baten Kaitos 1 & 2 HD Remaster $48.95 down from $69.95
- Hob: The Definitive Edition $6.00 down from $30.00
- Contra: Anniversary Collection $3.00 down from $30.00
- Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom $14.75 down from $59.00 (For Pogue)
- Minigolf Arena $1.50 down from $7.50 (Because who doesn't like minigolf.)
- Between Time:Escape Room $4.49 down from $14.99. ($5 for an escape room, why not?)

Total cost: $271.39 worth of stuff for $126.64 worth of E-shop credit...Except I also used my gold points to save about $18 worth, and the initial 10% off....

Actual cost $97.62
Or 36% of the RRP.

It's like they're paying me to play games!
11/22/23, 14:33
@Shadowlink Wow! Pro cheapskate move there.
11/22/23, 16:43
Maybe because I'm old and still have "new games are $50" forever built into me, but $40 is hardly a sale in my mind.

I'm sure Steam hasn't helped, either. In fact I was just over on Steam and there's all this stuff 50% off and I thought "50%? Why even bother? 70 is the minimum."

Anyway, I would have picked up some stuff at GameStop for $10 (after the pickup-in-store coupon) but absolutely EVERYTHING is sold out within 100 miles of me for some reason. Thanks, GameStop!

$100 eShop cards for $88.

Do we know if eShop funds will transfer over to Switch 2?
05/24/25, 05:34
@Zero

Alas, "no longer available!"

I thought I read they did transfer over, and Nintendo is just releasing the same eShop cards but with upgraded art on them for Switch 2.
05/24/25, 20:25
@ZeroI would assume so? I feel like Switch 2 games come up in the Switch 1 eShop currently. Not sure if you can pre-order there.
