I ordered Meteos from Gamestop, and they sent me Meteos: Disney Magic!

...should I mess with trying to get it refunded, or is this one good enough? I've played two levels. The knock-off Disney music is funny. Couldn't pull a Kingdom Hearts and get the real tracks?

Disney Magic is going for like 10 bucks less on eBay, not that either goes for much, but still, GameStop is trying to ROB you.

I've always been slightly curious about this but I'd get the original. Only the original has the Masahiro Sakurai touch <3

The Disney Magic version (sequel?) is really good and has the same basic gameplay. Plus being able to play in "book mode" orientation is more comfortable, IMO. (though a bit less cohesive than the "normal" way to play) Both are good, so you'd be fine either way. Or you can be a DS "sicko" like me and get both games!

...also, kind of a bummer this came out before Disney bought up all the random IPs out there. Would have been cool to have stages based off of MARVEL, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc. Ah well. Winnie the Pooh is cool, I guess.

Coincidentally, this same thing happened to me over a decade ago. And it wasn't even online, but rather at the GameStop store! Unfortunately, I didn't check what game they put in the case until I got home. When I later attempted to return it, they didn't seem to believe me and thought I was trying to scam them, so they wouldn't make the exchange. I probably shoulda known sooner, but this taught me to always check the cases in the car before leaving (and this did happen a few more times). Perhaps you'll have better luck, though! It was only $3 so it wasn't a big deal. I found the game at another store though just the game card, but I got it anyway to go with the case and manual I already had. $6 for a complete copy still ain't bad. However, I forgot that I had left the Disney card in the bag, and ended up throwing it out with the trash. Whoopsie!

I'm a little surprised that Meteos isn't more popular, especially after the fact. Considering the pedigree, I'd think it'd have at least ended up as a sought-out "hidden gem" on the aftermarket. I wonder what it is about it...
