@Mop it up That's pretty fascinating to think about! I loved the dynamic of things feeling "safe" for a while until Wario came into muck everything up. Great observation.

Bowser’s Fury was pretty good and lasted for about as long as I would have wanted it to. I’m not sure I’d enjoy an entire game with this kind of design or that I’ll be revising it often, but it was a neat mini bonus experience to compliment the 3D World port.

I wonder if it was a canceled design concept for the next Mario game that they decided not to waste. That’s going to be my theory.

I bought this a couple weeks ago. Have barely touched the Bowsers Fury content. Been playing 3D world with the kids and it’s become one of our favorite couch co-op games. Lots of fun, great purchase.

My son is 6 and I think this may be his favorite switch game.

I replayed Bowser's Fury twice this year. I think it might be the most perfect little game ever created, and if it were 10x bigger it would be my favorite of all time.

That's easier said than done. You can't just spatially scale the ocean and increase the number of levels. All that time on Plessie staring at the same color palette would get old, and you want there to be unique shapes and styles of overarching environments. And how do you guide the player across the map and all of the inevitable additional subsystems without introducing a bunch of NPCs?

Still, if Nintendo ever pulls it off...

@Secret_Tunnel I mean, that’s what Mario Kart World is. So just imagine having something like the Desert Kingdom in Odyssey, but you can keep running beyond its borders to another location.

I know Nintendo is being criticized for having too many open world sandbox games, but I feel like that would be the natural progression of Bowser’s Fury.
