The wait is nearly over. The game is being detailed left and right by the media,… the amiibo have been announced,… and the Nintendo Switch is imminent… The Legend of Zelda series has been a special one for Nintendo fans since it began and the next chapter starts on March 3rd, 2017.
A hero's tale begins anew. Open your eyes and see what is true.
Fun Facts: Vast open world where you could go find the end of the game within 15 minutes… but you won't survive it. Weapons have stats and durability. Climb pretty much anything you want. Eat and cook to regain health. Full voice-acting for all except Link
Lets use this thread to discuss the game on the Nintendo Switch. To help hold the tide of the wait, here are some beautiful screenshots and links for your perusal.
I know it's not cool to admit reviews affect your interest but the REALLY, REALLY high reviews have pumped my interest up a lot. It sounds like Nintendo really crafted a near perfect open world game. Usually not a fan of open world, but if anyone can do it, Nintendo can.
Okay yeah the framerate is pretty rough on Wii U. Just walking down the hill after emerging from the cave, it's super choppy when I turn the camera. I hope this isn't the norm because it's actually bad enough that it would bug me.
Also the Gamepad has this annoying "tap here to play on the GamePad only" message that fades in and out that is super distracting in my lap when I'm playing in the dark. I wish they would just leave it off entirely.
3/10 throwing this dumb game and my Wii U in the trash
Alright, that was quite the quick system setup...lol.
Switch is all hooked up to my TV/receiver. Noticed that I've probably been lacking left-front surround sound for a while (and didn't notice ffs...), fixed that.
Pro controller is charged, system and game software updates loaded. All set to get started first thing in the morning!
Well this certainly throws you in the deep end, lol.
Perhaps part of me may miss the structure of previous Zelda adventures, but it has the exploration down pat so far. I want to check out everything just to see if there's something cool! Found a neat soldiers bow. Yay!
When I got home last night after the midnight launch I thought, eh, I'll update the system and then watch the Zelda intro before bed. Now I'm sitting at work with 3 hours of sleep. I'm going to be worthless today until I find a bit more shut eye.
My Wii U copy is arriving today but I'm tempted to keep that sealed and get the Switch version since I am getting a Switch anyways. Whatever happens, hype. Massive hype.
