Why not sign up for a (free) account?
I heard they were having trouble getting it funded, but this is great news!

Finally we can all escape from the tyrannical Zero. Again!

Awesome news!

I really need to get into this series, though. Haven't played any of the games. Would you guys recommend them? I LOVE the Phoenix Wright series, but was bored by Hotel Dusk and only liked Ghost Trick okay.

Hell yes I'd recommend them. But do start with 999.

@TriforceBun YES. Apparently you posted in that thread like 5 years ago saying you wanted to try it...

I liked the second one a lot as well, though not quite as much. Albeit many people like it more so... they're both good is what I'm saying.

I often find I can best express myself in gif form...

Finally! I've been dying to see what happens next after Virtue's Last Reward. Both that game and 999 tell a uniquely interwoven story that has been very compelling so far.

Heck yea! Totally agree. Well said.

While I'm really, really looking forward to this...I can't help but feel a bit apprehensive. I freakin' LOVED 999. That game's atmosphere, pacing, dialogue...and the way they doled out *just* enough information to keep you guessing was spot on. And the big reveal was mind-blowing.

Now, VLR was all of that as well...except for the last part. I mean, that was great too. But it lost some "oomph" for me because...well, I knew *something* was up. I didn't know what exactly, but I knew there was more to the situation because I played 999 before. So that whole "OMG, THIS is what was really going on?!?" feeling was totally (er, mostly) lost on me. I knew something was coming. I just wasn't sure what. In 999, I didn't know what was coming, so it was all a huge surprise. It was shocking. But the second time? Not so much.

I'm "afraid" that will happen for this new game, too. How can it not?

How can you play a game like this and not know something's up? Of course something's up!

I understand what you mean, because we sort of expect something to blow us away. It's the M. Night Shyamalan effect.
The first time is surprising, from there you just end up expecting a "twist."
Then he makes The Last Airbender and you just want to cry.

That said, I thought the reveal of Junpei was pretty surprising. Also the fact that you were ollllld.

Yea, I know what you mean. During the second game my twist-sense was tingling the whole time and that, y'know, made it not AS mind-blowing. Still, I think that even though you know *something* is coming, the twists themselves are unexpected ones. So, y'know.... takemymoney.jpg

Also, we can't forget how much I like to use spoiler tags when there's no need to at all! Wasn't that surprising??

Glad this is coming out. Hopefully it lives up the last two which were amazing.

It's up for preorder on Amazon.com.

Yes, preordering is silly, especially when the game won't be out any time soon, but the obligatory "Watch Edition" will probably go fast!

*sigh* is the game out yet?! c'mon!

Arrgghh Irrational impatience!!! =P

Seriously though, I'm thinking of playing through the first 2 games again but I don't want to do it too early. *shrug*

I want to do that too but I'll probably keep it for next year.

If there is zero escape, then how did they make two sequels...?
07/08/15, 23:13
I have to say, I think it's really....I don't know. "Adorable?" That they are even going to bother with a Vita version. It's actually kind of commendable for them to throw support at that system.

I respect the dev team for that.
