amiibo is certainly turning out to be a big thing in Nintendo's eyes. Whether or not the rewards for utilizing each amiibo is worthy to you, Nintendo plans to implement all sorts of bonuses. It appears right now that every amiibo is meant to do 'something' in each game though games not featuring certain characters may have more limited uses or lesser-valued ones. We've had plenty of threads on here for amiibo and I'm sure that will continue. Still, I wanted to establish a general discussion thread that doesn't have a specific focus or thought. I appreciate the offer. If I don't score one soon, I'll probably just resort to buying one from ebay or an online site from Japan or UK. I don't mind the little bit of Japanese wording on the packaging, other than that, the packaging is identical to NA's packaging. That is how I got my Ness. It arrived in the mail on saturday. A couple others are also from Japan. Actually, I have found great deals from Japanese sellers a few times. Fuck the NA scum scalpers trying to get $50 or more for rare amiibos. Those people need to burn in hell. I got Ness, Pit and Villager for only $68 and that included shipping. Thats only around $22.50 per amiibo. I can live with that price, as I feel the amiibos are worth more than $13. Nintendo should have priced these around $20. It would have helped lower the scalping and overall demand would have been lower. Maybe.

Heh sorry for the short post. Didn't realized I stopped it there. They had one at Best Bu (so I got it for $10 after my discount). I had gotten Splatoon Boy and Girl this week as well (not the triple pack), but I thought they looked awesome.

I left to go get one after my last post in this thread, and by the time I got there, it was gone. However, there appears to be another one (a bit of a drive) in my town still, so maybe there are some somewhat close to you guys? I'd like to help EFB out, but this week is a beast on my wallet. First there was Black Amiibo Friday, and I've got Niagara Falls Comic Con to go to on Sunday (PLOOT, TAKE A DRIIIIVE), and then a wedding in Pittsburgh next week (BIG G, TAKE A DRIIIIIVE). Expensive times!

I am now the owner of Mega Man. Starting to like my small collection now.

I only have four Amiibo so far (and one of them is still in the box), but Mega Man seems just about perfect. Great design, great sculpting, great paint job.

I have Mario, Pikachu, Kirby, Meta Knight, Greninja and now Mega Man. I want to get the other Kirby and Pokemon ones if possible and a few others like Pac-Man, Shulk, Yoshi and Little Mac.

I have a Bowser. I love it very much. my brother is getting Charizard on the 14th, so that's good. It seems we have a thing for dragons in our household.

My friend went to Florida (the one who brought my Wii U) and couldn't find it when wave 3 was released and now it's super expensive wherever I look. :/

Getting Amiibos here is kinda hard because you gotta import them from US or Japan, pay extra costs for taxes and cover the scalper's cost, since there's no official distribution here. It adds up to silly amounts.

Just bought all four fire emblem amiibos, even though I have Lucina. I'll just resell her back on ebay when the shipment arrives. I only had to pay $22.50 for each amiibo. At least I should be able to make a few bucks off of Lucina, since she seems to be selling for over $40 by herself. I'll start the auction low and let the buyers fight over her. Getting ready to buy Shulk. I'm not waiting any longer for Nintendo's pathetic, so-so restocking of the rarer amiibos. No stores around here has even seen a Marth and out of six Gamestops in a forty mile radius, only one measly Shulk.

Items not listed here are Koovaps' Meta Knight from Canada which I haven't picked up yet. I'll grab it when I deliver the Little Mac to Beardednerd. I am also expecting the Silver Mario from Beardednerd with a little added cash in exchange for the Little Mac. Also, I owe Ploot for Greninja, though I can't recall how much it cost him.
