@GameDadGrant
There's a lot of quizzes, a movedex (shows all the pokemon that can use the move), more info is viewable in AR mode, a slideshow that shows random pokemon, language switch option so you have all the Japanese names, the pokedex voice says all the names out loud (this is very nice), and three BGMs. Think that's close to everything.

@Renjaku

Hm, I like that the Pokédex says the names out loud. That's pretty cool, actually.

Damn, now I'm interested in this thing....grrrr.

I thought the original Pokedex was a piece of crap waste of time so won't be bothering with this one.

While I thought it was cool, its not like I sit here just looking at these pokemon over and over. Nope, not buying it. If it was free, sure. I wouldn't even pay $1 for it. I mean, other than looking at these pokemon, there is nothing to do with the software. Blah.

The Power of Illusion demo was pretty awful. How disappointing.
I agree that it is pretty and I liked finding the different Disney characters but as a platformer it is stinky feet sandwiches.

@ploot

I don't understand how you can screw up a 2D platformer in the day and age. I mean they have been around for a damn long time, I think sometimes people jump into these things thinking I've played one I can make one but I guess there is a reason Nintendo is still pretty much king of the genre.

Power of Illusion is super-beautiful, with great presentation, but it definitely seems underwhelming from a gameplay perspective. Very heavy on the drawing and erasing, pretty slow, quite chatty, somewhat baby-fied platforming... It feels like more of a 2D Adventure game than a platformer. I really hope that the final game has some actual challenge and some more advanced gameplay mechanics.

Kind of rethinking my $25 pre-order... Is it just a bad demo? DreamRift should be capable of better, right? Did this game even have any bad previews?

Was it made for kids?

The beginning of the 3DS Mickey game has to be one of the most drawn out boring beginnings I've ever had to endure. Sorry, this Warren Specter dude, just doesn't seem to make games that I like. Def. a NO BUY for me.

I don't think Warren Spector is involved at all with the 3DS version -- it's developed by Dreamrift, the company behind Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure and Monster Tale.

(With that being said, I agree with you, the pedigree of the developer is pretty irrelevant since the demo wasn't very good.)

The Pokedex is a piece of crap waste of time, but it could be the foundation for the next Pokemon game! Imagine a game that looks like this Pokedex!

FULL 3D POKEMON GAME WITH REAL TIME ANIMATION CONFIRMED. No, but it would be so awesome and it would make a lot of sense. The series is dying to jump to full 3D, especially if its gonna make its debut on a system with 3D capabilities, not to mention the fact that no one gives a shit about Pokemon Stadium-esque games and Nintendo doesn't seem to be making them anymore. Might as well have the whole thing on the 3DS

Sorry but I don't like Pokemon so imagining all that stuff does very little for me.

It would seem you are unfazed by awesome kickass interactive entertainment, you're still my man though Ryan

Yep I think its because the whole card thing annoyed me when I was younger so my annoyance still hangs over the games. Are you getting a Wii U at or near launch? Gotta get you on the Miiverse. Its going to be so weird video chatting with you guys, its like breaking down barriers.

Holy crap, Cut the Rope sold that well on the eShop?!? Amazing.

Cool to see Castlevania: The Adventure getting into the top 20. Game is great, definitely deserves those sales!

I wish we could get a breakdown of digital vs retail sales in NA.

That's amazing that the spin-off Pokemon stuff sells better than absolutely everything else. Pokemon has been making insane amounts of money nonstop for almost 15 years. GOTTA CATCH EM ALL (the dollar bills)

And the best part is that it deserves it.
