Epic Mickey demo sounds good. I'm let down by the lack of VC games though.

Epic Mickey demo is great news. @GameDadGrantYou underestimate the time it takes to model every pokémon in 3D. Basically alot of the leg-work for the proper 3DS Pokémon game went into this app.

Pokedex 3D Pro download complete. ..what?! It's pronounced Sko-lo-pede? I always pronounced it Soul-i-pede. Garchomp has a shorter tail than I thought. There's an underwater background, ahhh. I can switch language, I didn't know that. Tsutaaaja. @GameDadGrant<3

Played the Power of Illusion demo. It's a pretty meh platformer, but it's really pretty. Fun seeing all the Disney characters from every era, too. But man, that opening took forever. It's like five minutes of silent text box dialogue with some comic scenes. Really awful way to start a game, let alone a demo.

Wow! The most expensive game on the eShop is an update to a "free" application. Is there even any "game" to it?

@nate38Agreed. On pretty much every level. Kinda disappointed by the demo. WAY too much dialogue, not enough fun platforming. And the painting mechanic seems to slow down the action rather than enhance it. Like, on the same level as Yoshi's "Sniff-Sniff" ability in Yoshi's Story and the "Blowing" ability in Donkey Kong Country Returns. Not good. No sir, I don't like it.

I thought the original Pokedex was a piece of crap waste of time so won't be bothering with this one.

@warerareI kind of felt the same way, but it was a cool "companion" piece of software for Pokémon fans. And it was kind of cool collecting and trading the Pokémon with friends. It didn't do much, sure...but hey. It was free. Can we really complain about that? About something free? If the "Pro" version is more of the same (just with all the monsters) then the $15 price tag is ridiculous, IMO. Especially considering that the Pokémon Dream Radar app (game?) is only a few dollars, and uses not only 3D models of Pokémon, but also engages Augmented Reality and links to Pokémon Black/White 2. (which are DS games, not 3DS games - how did they pull that off?!?) How exactly is Nintendo justifying the price of the Pokédex Pro? Certainly it does more than the freebie they gave away already, right? Right? right?

I would have paid $15 for the original app. Having stereoscopic 3D models of all the pokemon on hand is invaluable. You won't see models this detailed in 3DS's future pokemon game; 3DS can't push that many polygons. Even a few in the pokedex cause slowdown, and that's just one pokemon on screen.

Does the Pro version do anything that the original didn't? Any new modes or features?
