-Miiverse sounds AWESOME. It's essentially like a Twitter feed for all of your friends. Brilliant. I'm really exited to just type text into this thing. I HATE typing things into my 360. I like the idea of seeing what everyone is playing. It's practically free advertising for every game, isn't it? It's cool to see what games people are playing.
-I hope we start seeing more options with Mii faces and that kind stuff. I wonder if we'll be able to transfer our Miis between 3DS and WiiU?
-What little I saw of NSMB didn't seem Earth shattering. The game looks fun, no doubt, but despite whatever changes they made, it still looks really...I don't know, vanilla. It looks like they're doing more with the backgrounds. Everything just kind of looks like it's covered in some plastic, lifeless sheen. On the plus side, the world map looks bigger, and hopefully allows more of a 'sense of place' for the game. There looks like there may have been a hint at what's to come too with the Mii postings. Something about
a flying squirrel?
-Nintendo Network is a good name. Thank you Nintendo, for not naming your online network something god awful!! It's a name we'll be living with for a while, so I'm glad they went with the obvious here.
- I still don't understand what the point is in switching the face buttons with the right analog stick. Is it just to be different? Is there any reasoning behind it? Does it make the buttons easier to hit or something? Or is it just Nintendo being Nintendo? I kind of want to see them switch it back - especially if there's any chance we'll be playing Gamecube games on the Virtual Console. I'd just like that experience to be as close as possible there.
@canonj Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't your social network made up of people you've already friended? Do they show messages from strangers on there?
