Awesome! Since I had no idea it was coming to the US, I kind of obtained the Japanese version in an erm... less than savory fashion. And watched it with my brother. And we were both impressed. It's probably not going to knock your socks off, but unlike pretty much every other video game movie, it feels like it fits the source material while managing to justify a movie format. Easily the best video game movie I've seen (which isn't saying much...)

Oh, this is an animated movie, not a game! That's cool, I was pleasantly unaware of its existence in the first place. I will try to catch up with the games in the mean time.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG. Layton 4 and now Eternal Diva! I'd like to think that my frequent mentions of both these things in any Layton-related survey on Club Nintendo helped make this a possibility.

That's cool. I'm glad I never watched a fan sub like I did with Animal Crossing.

I wonder if this will hit Blu Ray as well. I'd love that.

The animation in Professor Layton games is absolutely TERRIBLE... because there's never enough of it for me to drool over! Hooooooooray! A must own for me, absolutely 100%.

What's the Animal Crossing anime about, anyway? Kids smacking animals with golden shovels and then giving them a couch?

So... are there puzzles the audience is supposed to solve within the movie, or is it just a standard cartoon? I know nothing about it.

Does the movie fit in somewhere between the games? Do I need to hurry and play Unwound Future before this comes out?

@heliumskyI THINK it takes place between the 4th and 5th games in the series. The games however are pretty self-contained plot-wise so I wouldn't worry too much. @-JKR- I teared up at the end of the game too. Shhh.
