I'm passing for now.

I'm not also glad i'm buying okamiden for the ds cause i know the 3ds game will have only a few 3d gimmicks or extra to excuse the sale

I hope this trend does not continue of game prices rising by $10 each gen.

It 4 gens I do not want to be paying $80 for a handheld game.

The launch window does not really interest me. However, I always wait a year to buy a new console so hopefully by then there will be some great games to play!

Each gen? The only other increase in Nintendo's portable game prices was the DS I think (with some games retailing at $35 or $40), and even then many were still $30, which I believe was the MSRP on GameBoy, Color and Advance games.

I'll be picking up Pilotwings for sure, and maybe Street Fighter or Rayman. I'm really interested in Rayman, since I've never played the game (and I hear great things about it) but I'm cautious about the 3DS port.

Besides, once 2012 rolls around buying games will be the least of your worries.

My plan:

SSFIV purchase day one

then

maybe PilotWings and Steel Diver based on impressions/ reviews.

This is a lot better than what was originally hinted at. I actually want to pre-order one now. Street Fighter IV 3D and Pro Evo 11 won me over. I also don't understand why so many people are complaining. This launch is better than most. (At least on paper it is).

Ah, boo... I guess I'll be waiting on picking up a 3DS. It's a great launch, but none of those interest me enough to buy them.

If I get anything, it'll be Pilotwings Resort but I still feel like I'm trying to find an excuse to get one at launch.

Face Raiders is reason enough.

I think some of them should be less than $40... but it's a decent launch. I'll probably go SFIV and Steel Diver.

@rebonack

Maybe it does not raise by $10, but to be honest prices have been going up for games this gen and what looks to be next gen.

I just hope prices stay realistic, that's all.

I already don't buy any of the console games at $60. It's too much for a videogame when I know I can wait a little while for a price drop.

Is there, like, any information at all on Rayman 3D? Ubi Soft has been hush-hush with their 3DS launch games, and that's not a very good sign...

I'd like it to be an awesome port of Rayman 2, but I'm not sure that's gonna happen.

@TriforceBun

All I've heard is that it is based on the Dreamcast version.

If it's Rayman 2, I am getting a 3DS at launch. I wanted to hold till Zelda came out, but Rayman 2 is just awesome.

I look at that list and I see a solid list of games, however I am only interested in one of those: PILOTWINGS!!!!

We all know the real good stuff will be hitting this summer and fall.

Also for those saying you're going to wait. I say might as well get it on launch so you know you can get one before it's a pain in the arse to get a hold of one.

Maybe this was posted in some thread earlier, I don't know (youtube videos flat out don't show at work), but here's a trailer for Steel Diver.

I wanted to be optimistic about this one, since it's Miyamoto and EAD, but... damn it comes across as amateurish. "Fire. Fire. Fire." every time you fire? Really?

For me, I'm interested in:

* PilotWings Resort
* Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition
* The Sims 3

Except I'm not getting a 3DS at launch. If there's a bundle with one of those... then maybe... lol

$40 huh? Not surprised, but that's also hard on the wallet. Does that mean first-party stuff will come out as $45 then? :(

lol, I noticed all that "Fire" last night too. I wonder if that game's more fun as a tech demo than an actual game. Wonder if it'll have a "Battleship" mode, that's what I kept thinking of when I saw ships.

@Pandareus I think it is interesting mostly because it is EAD and not Mario, Zelda, etc. I doubt it will be a killer APE but it might be worthwhile.
