Man, the PSP used to sell a hell of a lot, regardless of slumping software sales. I guess Sony cracking down on piracy has pretty much killed the console in the US. Or maybe the iPhone/Pad has taken a big bite out of the PSP. Either way... Pretty weak month all around. Surprised to see God of War III hang in there. Is this the first month for SSFIV?

@anandxxxYeah but SSFIV released on like the very last tuesday (28th?) so it's probably at least a little low. Glad to see Conviction take the top spot. I am playing and enjoying it right now.

Haha, I love how all of the "experts" in the business or likely less than or equally fit for the job than any of us.

I actually think most gamers are more aware than the supposed experts. We have been hearing this kinda stuff since early 2007 and it still hasn't happened.Even if no more Wii's are sold from now till the end of this gen the Wii has sold amazingly well and made Nintendo mountains of money, more than enough to fund their next console and thats all that matters to me.

With the new Wii bundles, as well as the Black Wii finally hitting NA, sales for Wii next month will be much, much higher. Plus we have Super Mario Galaxy 2 coming out, and that will also help sales.

*Checks watch* Which fad? The Wii fad? The "gimmicky" DS? Or the Pokémon craze? P.S. What's the deal with Just Dance? That thing is selling like crazy... why?

I wonder how the new shiny, black Wii is going to affect Wii sales in NA? New system colors always spike sales in Japan.

Apparently MH3 did around 125K. Not bad at all.

Yeah that's not bad for Monster Hunter Tri considering its failure to put up numbers in NA in the past, but still, would have loved to see it really take off in NA with Nintendo's support. Either way it'll probably be the best selling Monster Hunter in NA. Super Street Fighter IV selling better on PS3 than 360? Interesting.

Red Steel 2 probably hasn't sold for anything. Monster Hunter Tri did pretty well though. Apparently Street Fighter IV sold 105k on 360. So if we assume that it isn't super far off from the PS3 version, and Monster Hunter Tri is in between the two, then Tri was probably like #11 or #12 or something. I wonder if top 20 is out yet?

Can't find the top 20 but... Kotaku's got numbers for SSF4: 143,000 on PS3 108,000 on Xbox 360. So if Tri did 125k it can't be too far out of the top 10? In its NPD email, Microsoft also noted that the Xbox 360 version of Super Street Fighter IV made the "console top 10", which excludes portable titles, at 108,000 units sold. So... Tri made the "console" top 10 as well? In fact, taking out the two pokemon games would only leave room for two more console games, so... if Tri sold 125k it must be the next console game after SSFIV? Which probably puts it at number 11 or 12 or so. (Speaking of which, where did this Tri selling 125k come from?!)

Isn't this Nintendo's worst month ever with the Wii? And it still smacked the competition? Yes surely the Wii dominance is over, especially with all the new games and Black Wiis coming.

You are undoubtedly correct however is anyone else blown away by how much sales go up just by adding new colors to a console? Has anyone here seriously ever bought a console because of it's color? I'm genuinely curious, that kind of thing doesn't even cross my mind.

Well if people were looking to sell or give their console to someone in need, it's just an extra incentive to buy a new one. I remember I gave away my Black N64 to my family in El Salvador (major poverty, SNES was the standard even in like 2001, only now can they get the newest systems with ease) and got the Jungle Green Donkey Kong N64 in its place. If I had someone to give my Wii to I'd really want the black one. I still want a black one. I bet it looks damn hot. I'd think about moving the white Wii upstairs in the living room (though I doubt it'd EVER get used by my tech illiterate parents) and getting a black one for down here.
