March 2, 2017 – It's time to Switch it up! See the complete Switch launch lineup after the jump. Nintendo of America said:This week’s Nintendo Download includes the following featured content:
Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch and Wii U
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Forget everything you know about The Legend of Zelda games. Step into a world of discovery, exploration and adventure in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a boundary-breaking new game in the acclaimed series. In this stunning open-air adventure, travel across vast fields, through forests and to mountain peaks as you discover what has become of the kingdom of Hyrule. Also, with the Nintendo Switch console, your journey is more open than ever as you can take it and the game anywhere and adventure as Link any way you like. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be available on March 3.
Note: To access Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch, a system update that will be available on March 3 is required. The system update downloads in the background, is designed to install quickly and doesn't disrupt gameplay.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game packs countless hours of play into a vast world of discovery. That makes it an ideal foundation for more adventures! Launching alongside the game on March 3, this $19.99 Expansion Pass grants access to three new treasure chests, DLC Pack 1 (available this summer) and DLC Pack 2 (available in the 2017 holiday season) as the content becomes available.
Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch
1-2-Switch – Throw an impromptu party anywhere with anyone thanks to a new play style in which players look at each other – not the screen! Bring the action and fun into the real world as you face off in Wild West duels, cow-milking competitions, a copycat dance-off and more wild activities. Each game takes advantage of the Joy-Con controller features in different ways. While the action unfolds off screen, the audience watches the players themselves instead of the screen. That makes it as hilarious to watch as it is to play – an instant party amplifier! 1-2-Switch will be available on March 3.
Snipperclips – Cut it out, together! – Full Game and Free Demo Version – Hey, cut it out! No, really! In this action-puzzle game, paper pals Snip and Clip must cut each other up to overcome tricky obstacles … or just to laugh their heads off (sometimes literally). Partner up with friends or family to cut the heroes into the right shapes, interact with objects and solve a world of imaginative puzzles. Snipperclips – Cut it out, together! will be available on March 3.
Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment – The latest campaign from the critically acclaimed hit game Shovel Knight is a full-featured game starring Specter Knight, one of the villains from the original game. The massive prequel campaign includes even more content than the last campaign update, Plague of Shadows. Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment will be available on March 3 and is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch system for a limited time.
Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove – For both new knights and its biggest fans, the Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove game includes the original Shovel Knight game, as well as all previously released campaign updates – even Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment! Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove will be available on March 3 and is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch system for a limited time.
Just Dance 2017 – Grab your friends and family, because it’s time to dance! The Just Dance 2017 game brings you more than 40 new tracks, five game modes, updated content all year long and access to 200+ songs through the Just Dance Unlimited service! A free three-month subscription to Just Dance Unlimited comes with every digital or retail purchase of Just Dance 2017 for the Nintendo Switch system. Just Dance 2017 will be available on March 3.
Super Bomberman R – The iconic party-battle game is returning as Super Bomberman R on the Nintendo Switch system. Dive into the simple yet addictive gameplay in Super Bomberman R by controlling the main character, placing bombs and battling enemies and rivals with a modern visual style. Super Bomberman R will be available on March 3.
I Am Setsuna – The I Am Setsuna game introduces the authentic JRPG style of yesteryear to the Nintendo Switch system. Journey with Setsuna as she prepares to make the ultimate sacrifice and save the people of her land. A powerfully nostalgic experience, blending classic storytelling, battle system and gameplay. I Am Setsuna will be available on March 3.
FAST RMX – Challenge your friends to local split-screen competition or take part in online races against players from all over the world.* This lightning-fast anti-gravity racer is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch system and will be available on March 3.
Nintendo Mobile
Nintendo Switch Parental Controls mobile app – It’s only natural for parents to have questions about their kids and gaming. That’s why Nintendo Switch has parental controls that let you set rules for them from your smart device with this free app available today on App Store and Google Play. While some parental controls are available on the system itself, the app gives you even more options like push notifications for monthly play summaries and remote accessibility.
Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS
STORY OF SEASONS: Trio of Towns – Plant crops, raise livestock and even discover romance with the residents of three diverse towns in this massive new entry in the original farm-/life-sim series. Make new friends, fix up the towns and start a family – what story will you write? Connect with other players locally or via the internet to visit a mysterious multiplayer island, and enable the StreetPass feature to send your pet dog, cat or capybara to another player’s game.
Virtual Console on Wii U
Dungeon Explorer – Dungeon Explorer is a multiplayer action-RPG for the TurboGrafx-16 system in which up to five players can play at the same time. Choose from eight different character types: Fighter, Thief, Warlock, Witch, Bishop, Elf, Bard or Gnome. To survive, you most know all about your enemies’ weaknesses. You must also know about the special attributes of each magic spell and use them to your greatest advantage.
NEUTOPIA – In this classic action-RPG for TurboGrafx-16, take control of a brave boy who sets off on a journey to rescue the kidnapped princess and reclaim the eight medallions that were stolen by an evil demon. You’ll need to rely on your magic compass and information you’ve gathered to find entrances to labyrinths and defeat the bosses in them. Solve puzzles, avoid traps, move blocks and destroy walls to uncover secret rooms. Carefully use your map to uncover hidden treasure and powerful equipment.

I'm in for I Am Setsuna and Snipperclips for sure (and I'm getting Zelda and Bomberman from BB tomorrow morning too). Might double-dip on Shovel Knight, and I'm tempted by Fast RMX...

I really wish I understood all that Shovel Knight has done so far. I bought the original on Wii U but I never played through any expansions. Wondering if it's worth dipping on Switch if it comes with everything so far. Does it come with future updates also or no?

@DrFinkelstein SK Specter of Torment is just the Specter Knight campaign, doesn't include the original campaign (now subtitled Shovel of Hope) or Plague of Shadows, or any upcoming DLC. SK Treasure Trove includes everything currently available and everything upcoming.

I'm perfectly fine with just owning Shovel Knight on Steam, but at this point it's starting to feel like stealing. I backed it for a mere $10 and get everything lol. I might buy it when I eventually get a Switch just to show Yacht Club some love.

Whenever I get my Switch in the mail. I'm thinking of getting Fast RMX so I can have a cool multiplayer game on there. I will get Bomberman eventually but I think one of my friends is getting that so I'll wait.

@Mr_MustacheI got a Lexar 256 GB micro SDXC card for cheap from Wish.com...it's importing from overseas, so I don't have it yet. Since I'm going physical when I can this time around, I shouldn't fill that up too quickly. ...shouldn't.

HOLY S, I Am Setsuna is $39.99?! Are ALL of the downloadable games hella expensive as such? I thought the allure of digital was inexpensivity?

@Mr_Mustache I Am Setsuna is also $40 on Steam, so that shouldn't be used as an indicator of how expensive digital games in general will be on Switch.

@nate38I had no idea. I was expecting $19.99 MAX for these games. The mood has changed, it seems.

@Mr_Mustache Seems to me that more and more indie games are launching at that $20-25 range these days, whereas anything above $15 used to be considered "premium." I think now that indie games as a whole have gained more "mainstream" legitimacy, people are generally willing to pay more (at launch, anyway) for a quality downloadable game.
