Closest matchup: The games were generally decided fairly convincingly in the Hyrule Region this round, but Final Fantasy VI had its work cut out for it, just eking past Twilight Princess by a couple of votes.

Biggest Blowout: It should come as no surprise that Ocarina of Time easily made its way into the second round, with poor Metroid Prime 2 garnering only two votes.

Biggest Upset: The favorites mostly lived up to their seeding this round, but the biggest upset was 6 seed Yoshi's Island taking out 3 seed Bowser's Inside Story.

FF3 had a good run, but d'ain't no way it's getting past Ocarina, just like EarthBound getting clobbered by Galaxy. Sheesh…

MM vs. Galaxy should be interesting though. Ooh, and Mario 3 vs. World.

No surprises here.

I think it's funny how the Hyrule Region is full of Mario games and the Mushroom Region has the most Zelda games.
