All good news but I am not paying to play this online. Is it worth getting for offline play?

All the PSP games are offline-only, and they've been a huge hit - even with the U.S. crowd. .... OK, OK. "Huge hit" may be a bit hyperbolic. It's still a niche game, but those within that niche have found the series to be awesome. As for the Wii bundle, that's pretty cool. A good, solid 3rd party effort with all the trimmings. I wonder what the price of that bundle is going to be?

Man, I called that a week ago. ;) Though I'm still not sure about the fees. Capcom said they were going to try it without the fees here in the west. If it's free, it will be huge. If not, well...I may still give it a try.

I'm definitely going to pick it up at this point. The only question is whether I'll play online. I'll play it single play for a while and see how it grabs me. I was all excited about PSO on the Cube back in the day. I bought the game, the modem and that huge Waverbird with an ASCII keyboard in the middle. Got my Hunter license. Then when it came to venturing online I was too nervous to talk to anyone. Just wandered about the lobby for a bit and then went back to playing offline. Heh.

Once again, the Mario Club leaker had confirmed these details for MH3 a few weeks ago, which is a good sign. He also said that Capcom is working hard to make the service free. Let's hope he's right.

I loved PSO on the 'Cube. I bought it along with the keyboard (which I still own), the BBA (for when I was at school) and the modem (for when I was at home). I poured over 600 hours into my main, along with countless hours into three other characters. Online was a haven for me. I picked up PSO days after my then fiancee and I broke up, and playing online was a great escape. Often, I got on Deneb 9 with other IGNers and just hung out. I was embraced there when I was feeling "meh" towards the rest of the world. I know Monster Hunter 3 is not identical to PSO, but I'm willing to give it a try.

Eye. Candy. Love it. I just wish there was more to the story within the game...

This game is getting closer and closer to my wallet. A mildly-related tangent - I wonder if PSP-PS3 online tunneling will take off here AT ALL. People in Japan probably use it for MoHan, right?

Goodness that trailer looks freakin' epic. It make me want to personally visit every lazy 3rd party Wii developer, show them the trailer, and promptly kick them in the pants!

That trailer looks amazing but as someone unfamiliar with the series it doesn't tell me much about the game. Does the game have a huge epic story or is it simply wow style questing?

That trailer does look good! Hopefully it sells well, we need solid third party efforts on the Wii.

North American gamers don't really care much for the PSP, apparently. The "Ad-Hoc Party" feature has been out for a while now, but I don't know many people who have taken advantage of it, outside of the hardcore PSP fans on IGN's PSP General Board. Either way, I think it's a dumb thing to have. Just make your PSP games online enabled, developers! The system has the capability to do that! Don't force people to buy a PS3 just so they can play Phantasy Star Portable (or whatever) online. It's just dumb.

The music in that trailer was beautiful. I'll most likely buy MH3. Red Steel 2 releases two weeks earlier (March 23rd). Great year for Wii so far. Hopefully Sin and Punishment 2 releases before the summer starts.

I generally don't buy games I can't play in front of my kids, but I'll make an exception for this one.

That's it. This broke my will. There's no way I'm not getting that on launch. I didn't think it would make it that soon, but looks like it did. Thus, I will be reserving this and making this my purchase for April. LOL, me only buying 3 games in such an epic year? The hell was I foolin'?! Anyhow... EVERYTHING I've heard has made this one of my most anticipated, but without a release date and with the details of communication missing, I was playing wait-and-see. Now I'm all in, particularly with the CC Pro bundle. If it's pay-to-play, then depending on the cost I might take the dive a short while later. Hopefully it's not pay to play, though. MAN... there is just way too much coming out right now. Crystal Bearers looks like it's going to lose to Shiren the Wanderer and Monster Hunter Tri for my Wii purchases. But I digress. Excellent info, that trailer was fantastic, and I'm all over this. @Orbital74****! Forgot all about Sin and Punishment 2! No release date yet though... I hope it does take until summer, because at this rate I don't know if I'll even have the time to play it, lol...

Do we have a link that confirms this bundle is going to be available for North American gamers? I assume it will be, but all the stuff Google finds for me is that it's only confirmed for the U.K....

I couldn't find anything about a North American announcement on GoNintendo, and they are usually on top of it. The bundle doesn't strike me as a one-region only type of deal, so I wouldn't worry about it. With that said, I'm very excited about this one. This will be my first Monster Hunter game, and it also looks like the definitive choice.

Packaging Wii Speak in makes me more likely to get this

Aww, I already have WiiSpeak, but I so wanted that Black Classic Controller. Depending on the price of the bundle, I may just get it and send the extra Wii Speak to my Uncle. Hopefully it's $60, but I have a feeling it will hit $70 at the least.
