After a brief announcement, Guillaume welcomes veteran Anand and rookie David (a.k.a. Davoid) on the podcast's 31st episode. Amongst the games discussed: GNOMZ, Kid Icarus 3D Classics, Xenoblade, Etrian Odyssey, and more!

The gang then discusses what "Nintendo magic" is (and bashes Sega mercilessly along the way) and Nintendo's different shows and faces of PR. Someone sets the living room carpet on fire.

As usual, the theme music comes from Negative World's owner and dictator, Zero. The music throughout the podcast is taken from Kid Icarus: Uprising on 3DS.

Comment on the topics, the podcast, the guests, the host, etc. on Negative World! Or, be a weirdo and post them on Facebook or Twitter instead.

Uh-oh...Sega bashing....watch out for when Kriswright see this! Buawhahahahaha!

Anyways, cool! A new podcast to listen to. Its been a while since the last podcast and Im not talking about the last one. I can't stand to listen to my own voice, cause I end up being too critical on myself and the fact that I sound like a moron most of the times. Seriously though, not sure what it is, but I do not listen to the podcasts that I am on.

So yea, Ive been going thru podcast withdrawal...actually, I have been listening to some of the older podcasts. Its funny to go back and listen to what people have to say, esp. when predicting the future, and then they end up being waay off base. One that comes to mind was in the one podcast, I think it was 16 where Gui, Zero and Ploot was talking about the GBA Ambassador games and Gui mentioned that we would not be getting all the games at one time like the NES games. Well, we all know thats not true. Sorry, not picking on your, Gui. Thats the first example that came to mind.

Edit: Whoa! Just thought I would listen for just a few minutes. Can't believe Gui is leaving us...traitor! Seriously though, it is a bummer, but good luck. I never have listened to the radio free nintendo stuff before. Maybe I will give it a chance.

Edit 2: Yea, just like I mentioned above, about going back and listening to people and what they say about the future....Well on podcast Episode 23, Gui is thanking Stephen for helping out, ect and mentioning the fact that a couple of people had been asking, "What happened to Gui?"

Then Gui says something like, "you don't have to worry, Im back, and I'm not going anywhere...not ever" See, lies, all lies!!!!

Seriously though, I think the NW podcast might need another host to help out Dr Fink., then again maybe he will be fine. Its possible I might be interested in helping out. Oh well, I guess I will listen a little bit more now.

I'm sad that Gui's leaving the podcast.

@Davoid

Yea, it sucks. He basically made the podcast. Nothing against Stephen though. Actually the last couple podcasts I talked on was when Stephen was the host. I just have a bad feeling that the NW podcasts are going to end up dying off. Again, this isn't a knock against Stephen. Its just that it seems Gui was the one who really pushed and got the podcast going. Its like it was his 'puppy'.

Im actually listening to radiofreenintendo's latest podcast to see what its like and if I like the people there. So far it sounds pretty good, esp. for me not being familiar with any of those people.

@gamewizard65 RFN is pretty good. I've been listening to it well before NegativeWorld's podcast. For a while, I've meant to get more involved with the podcast. I thought about doing a smaller podcast for the NW people, editing and stuff. My English is pretty broken, mostly when I'm nervous, but the podcast is a thing I'm pretty fond of. I think I'll contact Fink & see if I can help to edit & promote.

While we are on the topic of podcasts, I think it would be nice to have a few words from members who would like to do some E3 predictions. It's right about that time.

I'll formally address the Gui leaving situation later when I have time. But I will say that while I helped found this podcast, there's no doubt that Gui was a huge driving force during it's entire course. It's a bummer he will not be able to be participating in it any longer but there are no plans to end the podcast. But I've never been able, due to time restrictions and such, to be such a consistent push as Gui was. So that means we as a community now have a new opportunity to strengthen up and really make this happen. Gui and I are hosts and editors, but the show couldn't have happened without the community members like you all helping us as guests. Now we need that support more than ever, both as guests and perhaps as more. Keep your head high Tom and the rest of the Negative World clan, this podcast is not disappearing. Gui was a big part of the show, but not the whole part.

I can't wait to hear your thoughts on Kid Icarus: 3D Classics, Xenoblade, and SEGA. And since I haven't heard it yet...

Why is Gui leaving? Is he leaving the site in general or just the podcast??????

@sirmastersephiroth as far as I understand it, Gui won't be leaving the community. He explains that it's mostly because RFN's podcast takes alot of his time.

@Davoid So Gui is now a permanent chair on RFN?

@sirmastersephiroth, from what he explains at the start of the podcast, it appears so.

Thanks for the podcasts Gui!!!

@gamewizard65

Haha, it's incredible that you picked up on that. Actually the RFN thing was decided pretty much back last December/January, so when I said that I wasn't going anywhere, that was totally a wink wink nudge nudge to Fink, whom I had told about it.

And yeah guys, it's all there in the short announcement: the NW is not going anywhere, Fink will keep doing a bang-up job and you guys should look into getting even more involved! And I'm not leaving the boards, definitely not. I just can't do the NW podcast anymore while being on and editing RFN weekly.

It might sound strange to leave the podcast I started to go off being an indentured servant to some other podcast, but the way they presented the situation to me, their podcast was at risk and they thought I could help. And being a huge fan of theirs, I decided to help keep their show go on.

Plus, perks like going to PAX or E3. Anyway... thanks for the kind words, guys. And do keep the NW podcast going!

@Guillaume Congrats man! You deserve it! So what happend with RFN, if it can be said of course?

@Guillaume

Well, to be honest, when I heard that comment, about you not going anywhere ever...I even thought to myself, yea, like 30 years from now Gui will still be doing the NW podcast. I actually thought the comment was funny, cause no one can really make a claim like that, esp. the way life can be. Not that I knew, but somehow I knew something was up with that comment.

Yea, it does suck that you'll be leaving, you really did a wonderful job. But I can always listen to you on RFN. I actually listened to their last espisode for the very first time. And when I saw and heard they had a special announcement to make at the end, I knew it had to do with you becoming part of the team. Though, I bet that guy you are replacing, who has done a few hundred episodes, I bet his fans are really shaken up by him leaving.

Also, this is for Dr. Finklestein, believe me 100% my comments had nothing to do whatsoever with thinking that you could not do the podcast, or that I think Gui is better than you. That is farther from the truth. I actually think you do just as good of a job, ect. Just wanted to make that clear. The only reason I said anything, esp. with you maybe needing help cause I have noticed you making several comments about timing being an issue with you on some of the past podcasts.

Other than that, I have fully enjoyed being on the couple of podcasts with you and I totally believe you will have no problem continuing the podcast yourself, as long as that is something you really enjoy. Keep up the great work and looking forward to being on more podcasts with you.

Wow, I am truly bummed. At first I was sorry to hear that Gui was leaving the podcast but then after reading Gui's comment about going to RFN because their podcast could have been at risk I had to investigate. I kinda suspected the answer before going to the RFN (NWR) site because of Gui saying he was going to edit. Sure enough my favorite member of RFN, Greg, was leaving (Am I a jerk for saying I was hoping it was Jon Lindeman? Yeah I probably am.)

I have to say I'm even more saddened by that news. I mean at least I will still be listening to Gui. More frequently, in fact because they're a weekly podcast. As far as Neg World I'm not worried about the quality dropping. I think DrFinkelstein is a natural as a podcast host. He does a great job and I'm sure will only get better. But Greg not being around at all is truly a sad moment for me. Oh well, at least they have a huge library of back episodes to go to if a need a "fix".

All the best to you Gui! I wouldn't have found Neg World if not for your call to the RFN live show last year. Congrats sir. As much as I love the NW podcast RFN is obviously a step up with more listeners and resources while remaining non-commercial unlike IGN ect.

I'm happy for you, Gui. While I'm not a follower of Radio Free Nintendo, it's clear they're a step up in profile. And with access to E3 and stuff like that, it's clearly a no-brainer. This is the right move. Thanks for all the hard work you've put into our podcast over the last year. You already know that I admire you and all that, but it's worth saying again. You're going to be a great asset to their team. Good luck, my friend.

...

Anyway, the point is: How could you do this to us!?

Well, now that it is public and I can't accidentally tell Mustache in chat anymore...

We'll miss Gui on the podcast.

What we need is for others to step up and fill the void! Anyone who wants to get more involved in any fashion should let Fink (or me) know.

I'm sure the NW podcast will still be great, now I have one more reason to listen to RFN too.

Congrats Guillaume!

One suggestion I'll throw out there is this. I know that it's preferred to have new people on as much as possible but maybe it would be a good idea with the departure of Gui - for a while at least - to have a NW podcast "veteran" as a regular (or at least semi-regular) addition to the podcasts. That person could sort of be groomed as a back-up host kinda like the way Johnny Carson did with guys like Jay Leno. A couple of people leap to mind as good candidates. I'll keep those names to myself but I think they know who they are. This could be a plus since DrFinkelstein has mentioned limitations on his time a back-up could step up to the plate if needed from time to time.

Just a thought.

@Robknoxious1 Well...

I won't say anything concrete yet, but we have certainly had similar thoughts.
