Everything no one ever really needed to know about the 3DS! This episode is packed with so much great content, it had to be split in two!

In part 1 Casper, Warerare, Paleo and Pandareus discuss being an early adopter, the 3DS hardware and the built-in software. Discover how the 3DS has turned Pandareus into a creepy stalker in spite of himself, find out that Warerare's Streetpass Plaza is a sausage fest, and learn that Casper is envious of both of them for these things.

In part 2, we finally discuss a selection of launch games: Pilotwings Resort, "Raymon" 3D, Nintendogs + Cats, Ghost Recon, Super Street Fighter 4 and Steel Diver.

As usual, comment on the topics, the podcast, the guests, the host, etc. in this very thread! Or, be a weirdo and post them on Facebook or Twitter instead.

Don't try part 2 yet, it's not done. I messed up somewhere and have to restart from the original file.

Ugh.

I'm sooo muffled!!! Everyone else sounds so clear compared to me.

Anyway, listening now...

Ok, listened to the first half. Can't believe how many times I stumbled over my own words. Ah well, it was a fun podcast.

I notice I tend to be a dominant speaker in group discussions...I should probably work on that.

Okay, part 2 is up. Please validate my hard work by listening? Also, we were pretty damn good and interesting, on top of the whole super sexy thing.

Listened to the first half. Don't have a lot to say other than I still don't have a 3DS.

I think we might have scared everyone away with the length of the podcast, lol.

I haven't had chance to give it a listen yet, will probably get some time tonight.

@casper884

Bah, give it time, usually we record on a biweekly schedule and people have trouble keeping up. Now we're hitting them with a 2 1/2 podcast one week after the last one. They'll get around to it eventually.

...right?

Man. I would have expected at least one mention of how funny my pronunciation of "Rayman" was, by now.

Or "launch".

Etc.

Can anyone spot the exact moment I started talking with a handful of peanuts in my mouth? Maybe there's gonna be a prize for the first person to guess... an NES game on the VC or something.

@Pandareus
You are right about the shadow of the bridge boat thing in Pilotwings. It says in the game itself that you should aim for stopping RIGHT under it.

Gah, Panda, you need a history lesson of Nintendo games. Can't remember the name of Yoshi's Touch 'n Go? And thinking that Konami makes Ridge Racer (Namco makes it, actually) and apparently not knowing (or forgetting) that Ridge Racer is not new to Nintendo gamers? C'mon, Ridge Racer 64 was a big game, and was revamped for the original's DS launch. Plus the Gamecube got R: Racing Evolution, which was Namco's Ridge Racer from last gen.

Maybe I'm nitpicking.

@GameDadGrant

Noooo! I've exposed my ignorance!

Haha, duly noted. Touch and Go I've actually owned... I dunno, I had a lot of brain farts in this episode, unfortunately.

Ridge Racer I've actually never played. And I never owned an N64, as I said in the podcast, so I didn't know about RR64. Thanks!

Hey guys, DO put the podcast on your streetpass playlist and activate the feature. I just streetpassed two people with it, and when I went to check the playlist meny screen, there was a silver medal with a parrot on it, and below it, "2/5". I think you can unlock stuff this way!

Another cool thing about the visualisers: the clock one shows you when the time the podcast will end.

@Pandareus Yeah, there are actually more hits on episode 5 for April than 6 so far... people are getting caught up I guess. Another interesting note is that we're still getting new hits on the early episodes.

But don't worry, people are getting to it. I just now downloaded episode 6.

What? Is this what it sounds like?!

@Zero

If you're thinking that it sends wirelessly the mp3 file to other people, then no. I explain it in the podcast, but: when you activate that feature in 3DS Sound, you do send your "Streetpass playlist" information to the people you streetpass. So it's a good way to kinda-virally spread the word on the podcast.

I really do need a new mic. I'll be sure to have one by the time I join you guys again (i.e. a couple of years from now).

You win, sir. At 45:35, I had a mouthful of salty nuts.

...wait, what?

Okay, well I'll keep my word. I will add your Wii number and you add mine, and expect a game this Friday, when the retro game club poll results are tallied.
