Great first half of an episode, gentlemen! Good stuff all around.
Andrew on the show is always great. My Souls experience is quite limited, but I did import an asian version of Demon's Souls waaaay before it was cool. And like just about every game I play, I gave it an hour or two before being distracted by a shiny object. Really cool series, and I genuinely do like From Software and appreciate what they've achieved here. I also did give Teslagrad a brief play session as well and enjoyed that. I must admit, it's a cheap thrill being mentioned on the podcast, even if (especially when) discussing my ridiculous 3DS collection. Good Times! And Andrew, go ahead and put eshop games on that thing. The transfer process ain't no thang! That said, Box Boy looks great, and I did buy it, but haven't tried it yet. I will very soon though. And MM is still kinda in my current rotation, so I hope to keep on that.
That Smash tourney sounds like a blast, and I really wish I could be there and hang out with the Rochester crew again. Dang, that was a good time. I really hope that whole thing goes well on saturday. It's a shame Joe's enthusiasm didn't quite hold for the entire package of Hyrule Warriors, but there's nothing wrong with that. Hey, wanna guess how much of HW I played? (I seriously have a problem) The dlc question is interesting. I, personally, don't have any issue with dlc, but I completely sympathize with the notion of trends moving away from the way you'd prefer them be. I get like that a lot. Some of it boils down to a simple frustration with how other people choose to (foolishly, so says me) spend their money. I actually stopped listening to a podcast after they started up a successful Patreon. They're funny, but mostly vulgar and adolescent, and they have 16 people shelling out $100 per month, on top of all the other donations they get. I don't know why it bothered me so much, but I didn't want to be part of a listenership that supported that to that degree. Now, it was easy to stop listening to a dumb podcast, so I imagine it's even tougher when a company like Nintendo starts moving in directions you don't care to follow.
Anyway, some of my ramblings. Can't wait to get to the next podcast and the topic that really matters. AMIIBO!!!!!!!!!
