Nintendo has launched the promised browser-based version of Miiverse. You can check your notifications and Miiverse announcements, view your activity feed and profile, and explore communities. You are also able to "Yeah!" and reply to other member's posts (text only) but it does not appear to be possible to create a brand new post.

Check it out here

Why not sign up for a (free) account?

Now I just need to remember what my official name is.

I know I'll be checking out Miiverse a lot more now. I'm too lazy to turn on the Wii U just to look at Miiverse looks like you can link to specific posts too. I like it! I can't wait for the 3DS one, especially if 3DS games have their own communities.

Seems like you can reply to posts but not make new posts? Unless I'm missing something.

There's kind of two ways of looking at this:

Allowing people without a Wii U to see Miiverse will

a.) get more people interested in the feature and in the Wii U by extension

b.) take away an exclusive feature of the Wii U, making it a tougher sell

I guess you still need a Wii U to make new posts and particularly drawings. Hmm...

Nifty. Definitely an easier way to check out Miiverse... Which is sort of unfortunate.

Honestly I'm kind of shocked that I remembered my password!

This is kind of neat. But...

@Mr_Mustache
@Zero

FINALLY! Now we can grab screenshots for our reviews without configuring a capture system!

Here's an example...

edit: Also, if you're not following this guy already, you need to. Great stuff!

@Abdooooo

I'm geeked about this feature too. I'm glad I can save the following photo I took.

@Abdooooo

@DrFinkelstein

Well damn it! Looks like you can't follow someone through the web based Miiverse....yet?

@carlosrox

Check your Wii U settings first.

I reset my password but I think it was because I got my name wrong..It's Smerd when I turn the WiiU on but Smerd20 is the actual I.D.. I just didn't read carefully... Your I.D is in the user settings.

Time to sit and save all of my screenshots to my hard drive. Will be on Miiverse a lot more now.

Boo! I still can't figure out how to CREATE a post to Miiverse, but I can respond to other people's posts. Maybe they're still working on it...

I also hope they roll out a mobile app. That would be solid.

@TheOldManFromZelda I don't think you can yet. I think Nintendo said it's in beta, so maybe that's why.

I pasted my pic!

It's pretty slick, shame you can't make new posts, only reply to others.

The Miiverse drawing pics are a bit small or definitely lose some detail at that size I think. Some look way better on the GamePad.

I just broke my record for most Yeahs on a drawing thanks to this update I'm sure

Woo!
