Some interesting news for all you DuckTales fans out there...

Ducktales Remastered was announced by Capcom today at PAX. It’s being developed by WayForward, all the sprites will be hand-drawn and strewn about a 3D world, Disney’s authentic voice-actors will all lend a hand in making this game everything it can be, and the game’s original 8-bit songs are going to be remastered by WayForward’s Jake Kaufman.

Also interesting to note is that the game will feature authentic Disney voice acting...so get ready to hear some new dialogue from Launchpad, Huey, Duey, Luey, and Uncle Scrooge himself.

Headed to XBLA, PSN, and Wii U eShop this summer for $15. Capcom's Ray Jiminez says "It will play just like you remember."

Let's all hope we see a trailer as PAX progresses!!!

I'm honestly not a big fan of how this looks, but I'm sure it will be lots of fun so I'll buy it as soon as it's released.

WOW. That's awesome. I guess I'd rather see the whole game be 2D artwork, but still, it's pretty amazing that this is even happening. Can't wait to hear Virt's music. He's amazing at remixing classic 8-bit songs. I hope they keep some 8-bit flavor in there.

The 2D animation looks perfect. Just like the show. I wonder if Capcom would ever take influence here with Mega Man?

For only $15 too, that's kind of amazing. If this was on 3DS it would be $40... but then again if it was on Steam it would be part of $0.25 bundle that included like 59 other Capcom games.

Yeah, the 3D stuff is kind of bothering me a bit. Oh well, the music will be godly and gameplay will be amazing, so I'll live.

So far, it definitely looks like a far cry from what happened with Turtles in Time, assuming the music is every bit as electric as I assume it will be.

@deathly_hallows Dude the song totally holds up. It's great.

This one too.
And this.

And basically the entire soundtrack.

I should be blown away by this, being a fan of both WayForward and Duck Tales -- games and show -- but I'm not feeling it. It should have been all hand painted 2D, IMO. But, I'm very, very happy to see Duck Tales get some love, and hopefully this will make more gamers want to seek out the original NES games, and love the hell out of them just like I have.

As long as they keep in the classic Moon song, I am cool with it.

The 3D parts look eh, but the game as a whole screams nostalgia. Can't wait!

The 2D sprites look gorgeous. I am very, very surprised to say the least... This is a day 1 for me for sure!
