Holy fuck, is that real?! Good thing I didn't invest today... OH, I thought it went from 7.3m to 1m. Still bad, though.

Ha ha ha ha no going down to 1m would be terrible. I guess 8.3m to 7.3m. Still a substantial drop though... 12%ish? I'm assuming this means certain preorders will not go through. For instance, mine, because that is just my luck.

This is all a marketing ploy!! Edit: Maybe this tells us we're still OK. Does this confirm that our Wii U's are going to have an overheating issue????

Sounds like quite a tale to build demand/hype.

@Abdooooo Well this is confusing. Did that David Gibson dude just straight up make up a Nintendo statement? It seemed very specific though.

I don't know what to believe any more. I just hope I get my console on launch day. I'm at the mercy of my Gamestop...

Being second in line for the Wii u in my preorder, I'm not worried in the slightest. They ship in boxes of two so even if Nintendo ships only one box, I'm golden.

I wonder which version is correct, and where Gibson got those figures? Did Nintendo really say "As of now, we see no impacts on our Wii U console production scheme."? Either Wii U production is around 1.6m a month, and there will be a good number to fill the pre-orders through the holidays but the availability may be hit in the new year (Gibson version), or we don't actually know anything about the numbers or availability (Nintendo version). Gibson version might actually be good news, because his figures seem quite high still.

Even if there is something to this, I'm not sure why you guys are worrying. If anyone gets shafted here, it'll be the PAL regions.

I'm not worried.... namely because I'll be waiting until tax season to get it anyways. -_____-

Isn't 7.3 million still more than the Wii launched with? If so, things shouldn't be as crazy as they were with the Wii.
