I'll download the Spider-Man demo and DK Jr (since I already own the Ambassador version). Honestly, this is a pretty decent week, even if I'm not super-excited since I own DK Jr already. VC games on 3DS AND Wii, as well as a demo and a (non-VC) eShop game, plus two DSiWare games! Pretty good spread.

@rebonack

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised as well. Maybe Nintendo's momentum from E3 will continue to carry over into the digital side of things.

Mad Dog McCree is a longstanding punchline on RFN. I've finally checked out videos of it, and... yeah, pass!

Dude... WTF? Did they just stealth release Mega Man X2 or did we know this was coming?

EVERYONE GO BUY. THIS GAME IS AWESOME.

Isn't pretty much every NOA download game a stealth release? We hardly ever know when something's coming up.

Donkey Kong Jr., Amazing Spider-Man demo, AND Mega Man X 2?!?!?

Awesome week is awesome.

Nothing terribly exciting. I already own the MMX collection and the rest isn't anything great. Good selection but still not good when the games themselves probably aren't

I want a demo of Amazing Spider-Man DS!

Just play the Griptonite DS games instead.

I still need to get Web of Shadows DS...

Hm, I still didn't pick up Mega Man X. Is X2 better?

Donkey Kong Jr for 5 bucks is dumb. Get back to releasing GB and GBC games!

@anon_mastermind

X2 is a step up from X, which was also excellent. Get both if you can.

I personally much prefer X over X2, but it's been so long, I couldn't begin to tell you why.

Asking which is better is tough. They're both pretty much equally awesome and you have to play both.

I suppose "at the time" I preferred X over X2 because X2 was a bit... weirder? But that grew on me over time.

@rebonack
I don't have the first one. I only rented it. It's rare!

But I love those Spider-vanias.

@Zero Mega Man X2 was announced or rumored or something a little while back, but you can never guarantee those will actually happen

Personally I really like all three of the X games on the Super NES, X2 included. When I was a kid I preferred X2 over X, but lately I've been thinking I might like the original X over it. X2 is still a great game though, and anyone should definitely check it out if they liked the first X. I'm really looking forward to when Mega Man X3 finally comes out; that's hands-down my favorite game in the series, and one of my favorite games of all time. I can't wait for a version of the game with the original soundtrack to finally become available again

@Zero

You've told me so. And I probably will be.

@Guillaume

Man, I was cutting up about Mad Dog McCree earlier this week. I want in on your RFN club.

Seriously, though, they're trying to charge 8 bucks for that crap. I think that means Mr. McCree himself is setting pricing.

@X-pert74 Is X3 supposed to come out? I wouldn't mind rebuying it on VC. I had it and got to the end fortress and... sold it for some reason.

I was coincidentally desiring an Amazing Spider-Man demo yesterday. For some reason I started feeling nostalgic about Spider-Man 2. I went on every online retailer I could think of but nobody had it. Maybe I can scratch that itch with this game.

ALl MegaMan X games are good on the SNES, X3 being my favorite. I'll agree with Zero, X2 is weirder than X, but still worth a purchase. Had I not..done things on my Wii to already have the game. Though with Xenoblade available stateside, I may revert back to normal Wii and be forced to purchase X2.
