They didn't forget about the VC, they just forgot about Game Boy games

Just to put salt on the wound: Japan is getting Wario Land 2.

@Guillaume If it makes you feel any better, they're not getting a Game Boy game either. Because they're getting a Game Boy Color game.

At first I thought it was " ART Style Soccer 3D", and I was thinking, "Nintendo's made an Art Style soccer game!?! How strange!" I've never played any of the Game Boy Wario Lands except for the first one, so hopefully we'll get Wario Land 2 (and 3 and 4) soon.

Wario Land 4 is a GBA game, and it's available to ambassadors now. Unfortunately though it looks like it'll be awhile till GBA games are available for sale though.

I haven't played enough of it to judge, but my understanding is that it's generally considered the worst of the bunch. But to be fair, I hear a lot of good things about Wario Land 3, and I don't much care for that one. I own SML3:WL, but the battery is dead so it won't save. I really want that to come to the VC so I can actually play it. (Wario Land 2, too. (Tutu?))

@rebonackNo, I'm not an ambassador, so sadly no WL4 for me. @GuillaumeWhat's wrong with WL4? I thought Shake It was based on 4, so I naturally assumed that 4 would be similar to Shake It.

@canonjThere are similarities in terms of having to get to the end and then run back to the entrance, but that's basically it. The level design is much better in Shake It. WL4 is just a bit too weird for its own good...

I don't even understand how to play Wario Land 4. I was trying to get into it but the progression is confusing to me. And I got to one stage where you jump down into this pit that I absolutely could not figure out how to get out of. It was a big pit with actual enemies and platforms and stuff in it, so I don't think it was a glitch, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get out of it. And I haven't played the game since.

I 100%'d Wario Land 4, but it wasn't as enjoyable as Shake-It! IMO. We really need DungeonO's take on it...he's probably the most well-versed NWer of the Wario Land series.

Fuck...where are the VC games? I guess I'll try out Mutant Mudds. Wario Land 4 is pretty good.

Wario Land 3 is a fantastic mix of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Metroid, and you should all be gagging to play it. WL4 is much weaker, but still pretty fun. I rented it on a vacation and 100%'d it. And then bought the Japanese version for $5. The weirdness was a bonus for me. Those unlockable CDs... I think 4 is Jeremy Parish's favorite. He's weird. But, yeah, Shake It!'s direct inspiration seems to be WL4, I think.

I played about an hour of Wario Land 4 and it was pretty fun, but playing GBA games on the 3DS annoys me, they need to add the game-freeze function and a sleep function... I'm too used to closing the lid whenever the hell I want and having my games still waiting there for me. The fact that GBA games just keep running with the lid closed is eerie. EDIT: Oh btw, this week sucks balls.

I have more of a problem with playing two-button games on a SYMMETRICAL DIAMOND LAYOUT. Ugh.

@AnandI'm really spoiled by playing GBA games on the SP+, they don't feel right on anything else, even a DS Lite. And for some reason, like I mentioned, the fact that the SP+ doesn't go to sleep when you close the lid doesn't bother me, but it really bothers me on the 3DS! Why? Dunno, I'm strange, maybe it just irks me because I know the games are being emulated and it seems like a feature that could be easily patched it. I want GBA games on the 3DS to have the same features as the GB games!

@deathly_hallowsGod damn, I envy your SP+ SO MUCH. And the XL is still, like, $30 MORE than the 3DS. Aaarrghh. As for the suspend thing, it might be patched into the final release. Remember, these are probably just stopgap versions. Also, I feel like closing the lid on my 3DS when using anything other than the Home Menu eats up a lot more battery. Can anyone else verify that?

I got Wario Land 4 from the ambassador program, played it, loved it, 100%ed it, and now I'm going to go back and play the whole series. I've beaten Shake It!!, so I'll be 100%ing that one pretty quick.
