Thats right another glaring omission to Nintendo's eShop service gets rectified this week with the release of two 3DS demos. Thats right the demo you have all been waiting for Cooking Mama 4 gets released on the eShop this week along with the less requested Resident Evil Revelations Demo

Thats not all of the good news though as over the coming weeks we will also be getting demos of Metal Gear Solid 3D, Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games and Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure, dates for these are not yet known.

Sound off in the comments below but I am sure no one can be disappointed with this news, look foward to the first set of demos tomorrow.

Why not sign up for a (free) account?

Sometimes I get the feeling that Nintendo of Europe knows what it's doing. Weird.

Great news for our friends across the pond, but where are our demos here in America? C'mon NOA!

@VofEscaflowneNice... thanks for sharing. Any idea if its the same as the RE:R Demo bundled with RE:Mercs?

Nice. I already have RE Revelations preordered (40 bucks at amazon.ca), but I'll gladly check out the demo. I'm also quite interested in Rhythm Thief and the Emperor's Treasure.

@anon_mastermind

Anyone going to start a RE:R demo impression thread?

A general 3DS demo thread would probably work better. Someone can make one, if there is a need/desire for one.

Can't wait to try the new demo (assuming it's not the one from Mercenaries). I'll give it a whirl tomorrow.

@VofEscaflowne

AWESOME.

@ludist210

Yeah, it's different from the ridiculously short demo we played in Mercenaries 3D.

Yes, please post impressions, because it looks like we're not getting the Cooking Mama demo over here.

I think I'm burned out on the Cooking Mama franchise just from playing previous demos.

First off the Cooking Mama Demo is locked to 30 tries, that would be a bad thing if the thing was worth playing more than once. The game seems to have one recipe which is Pizza making and jusy plays like the original games. The 3D is non existant and it really should have just been a DS game or eShop download .

Resident Evil is also limited to 30 tries, looks like this will be common with all demos. That sucks the big one.

How many demos have you played more than once?

I had a Gitaroo man demo for PS2 that I must have played 100 times. The game was really expensive over here for whatever reason and only got it a few years later as a birthday present. I also played the original SSX demo many times and didn't actually purchase an SSX game until Tricky launched. it has been a while though since I played a demo that many times but I do wonder why they have to lock it after 30 plays. Where else does this happen?

@warerare

It's not the norm, but I'm guessing Nintendo's logic is something like after 30 plays of a demo that you would know if you really want the game or not. Just my line of thinking.

Does the Revelations demo have the same limit of plays? Even so, play it once a day until launch, and you still won't wear it out.

@Guillaume

Sometimes I'll play a demo a few times just to see if it's really worth it. But that's rare.

There's still no reason to put a limit on this demo though. What do they care if we play it that often? Is anyone seriously going to NOT purchase the game because they can play a demo an unlimited amount of times?

Yeah, 30 play limit is a bit silly. That said, I think the most I've ever played a demo is around 10 times or so (GCN Preview Disc, Viewtiful Joe!).

The Revelations demo is up for US gamers! Be warned though--it requires over 1100 blocks, so you may need to clear up some space (I had to, for the first time). I was under the assumption that 2GB was big enough for the 3DS's lifetime! Guess I'll have to suck it up.

Yeah I think I'll need a bigger card as well. It's not filled up yet but seeing as how some games are quite large in size (Mighty Switch Force was quite big), this'll fill up really fast.

You guys should just do what I did: buy a 32GB card and your 3DS will be set for life. The big SD cards are pretty affordable nowadays.
