3DS Firmware Update Delayed to December 8 Promised update won't make it out this month as previously announced.
Nintendo's promised late November 3DS firmware update won't be arriving in late November. In an update posted to its website today, Nintendo confirmed the delay, saying that more time is needed for preparations.
The update is now scheduled to arrive on December 8.
Nintendo's announcement today listed the following as major features for the update:
* 3D movie capture and playback functionality added to the 3DS Camera program * Additional features for Mii Plaza * Functionality for transferring download titles and data from one 3DS to another
Well they almost don't have a choice but to come out around that time cause they said they'd all be out by the end of the year haha.
I don't mind the delay too much. I'd rather get a functional update plus it's not really something I'm looking forward to that much. The extra Mii Plaza content is nice but unless it's entirely functional without StreetPasses, I won't be able to use it.
Oh for fuck's sake. They'd better add that functionality before the inevitable "3DSiLiteSPDualAnalogXL" comes out. The friend list stuff I could probably live with but I'm much more attached to my Activity Log data than I ever would have guessed.
Tell me about it. When I lost my Activity Log, Friend List and Mii Plaza stuff, I was pretty miffed. Still haven't come close to recovering all of that, especially the Activity Log.
Whoa, hang on. Let's not freak out yet. The system transfer that's available RIGHT NOW doesn't do that, but the update coming on December 8th may change that. Fact of the matter is, no one really knows what the entire firmware updates will be. It's only a little over a week away - we'll know for sure soon enough.
