Where are the Wii VC updates?

There's no Virtual Console game on either the Wii or 3DS!

EDIT: Oh, heh, I guess there's Side Pocket.

Anand said the VC games took too much attention away from DSiware, but I have to ask: what DSiware?

Nintendo needs to open the VC valve or cozy up with small devs, stat.

Is there a new episode of Nintendo video at least?

Yeah, I'm starting to get concerned. There's next to nothing coming out on 3DSWare that we know about, and the content is slow to trickle in.

I'm not big on iOS' claims of 500,000 apps, but even with the crap content, they've at least got SOME content...

Oh, I don't want crappy iOS games, but it would have been a good time to release Zen Pinball.

Nintendo should be trying to court PSN and XBLA developers, not iOS ones.

@Guillaume

I think there's room for both. Zenonia was a good iOS game that made its way to DSiWare. Same with Cut the Rope. For the right price, I'd take a paid version of a game with better controls.

Also, Nintendo really needs to allow FREE content in the eShop. Not just videos and video apps, free games, demos, etc. The only exception(s) to this rule are Pokedex 3D and Four Swords Anniversary Edition (free for a limited time).

Oh, I just realized there's a demo for Horizon Riders. Will try it out.

@Simbabbad

You're talking two different platforms: Wii and 3DS. Your point isn't moot, but it's not the law that you have to own both the 3DS and the Wii.

To say that people would have gotten EscapeVektor if not for SML2's releasing that day is a fallacy. Unless you can somehow show the causal relationship.

@Simbabbad

Did you not read what you just posted? Because you pretty much said we're idiots for buying something most of us know we would enjoy. I'm all for new experiences, but I hadn't played Super Mario Land 2 for more than fifteen years, and it was one of my favorite Game Boy games. If I'm wrong for buying it and not Escape Vector, like you're implying, then I'm happy to be wrong.

I don't even know what EscapeVektor is...

If Nintendo at least had a better online store, more demos, an easier way to access said content and manage it, maybe I'd buy more WiiWare titles but as it is now, I rarely turn on my Wii because there's really no reason to.

Same for the 3DS right now. It's rarely more than a glorified pedometer.

It was implied. Idiots might have been the wrong word. Maybe I should have said "You implied we are wrong for buying something most of us know we would enjoy."

Alright guys, quit it. Enough time has been spent on a specious argument.

And hey, Curve Studios (the Fluidity guys) just tweeted they're looking for a 3DS engineer! Looks like all I had to do was ask.

Sweet, their previous collaboration with Nintendo was great.
