And no VC release this week... but we got two last week so I guess that makes up for it. BIT.TRIP BEAT demo is nice... I wish I had tried that out before

Huh, the BEAT demo is back...

I'm sure Glory Days is good (odenis studios' Pop Island Paperfield was a great 200 point game). However, these days I get super bored with tower defense games

It's worth checking out the BIT.TRIP BEAT demo. I thoroughly enjoyed the full version, but it's not an easy game. The last level is especially difficult, but it's not impossible (it took me dang near one week to finish it, but I can do it relatively easily now). At the very least, the demo level is very enjoyable.

Well I mean I wish I had tried it out before purchasing the full game. I actually enjoy the game but the flashy backgrounds just give me a headache It starts off not too bad but I think by the end of the first level, it's just painful.

There was actually a patch for Bit Trip Beat, I think they toned down the background effects a bit. Also made you able to record a high score without completing the stage. Just re-download the game from the Wii Shop.

That's cool, I didn't know there had been a patch for Bit Trip Beat, but I probably already have it.

I try to remember to check for updates to my downloaded games every once in a while. At least it's a simple process, once you're in the Wii Shop channel. Just click on the link for titles you've downloaded, and scroll down the list looking for updates. Only a very small percentage of games get updates.

Wish there was a way you could be automatically notified about updates, maybe next gen.

Ah, Glory Days on DSiWare! Very nice! I'm sure that game is good - I have Glory Days 2 on DS (retail) and it's pretty sweet. It was one of those games that was championed by (formerly) IGN's Craig Harris. I'd bet this new downloadable entry is worth it's weight as well. Er... if downloadable games had weight that is, lol!

I'm also kind of intrigued by Animal Boxing. That came out at retail years ago - I don't think it did very well. I'm not sure if it was because the game itself wasn't all that hot, or if the premise was such a turn-off no one bothered to check it out. Or both.

Alien Puzzle Adventure sounds intriguing too, for some reason. Wish the DSiWare service had demos, too.

I hope so. If I could play some DSiWare games prior to buying them, I might be inclined to download more. It's just strange that DSiWare demos don't exist, yet retail DS games have demos. And have for years.
