Kuru Kuru Kururin! I'll probably pick that up and give it a shot.

I totally forgot Polarium existed. One of those decent early DS games that got the system through the early drought. And then had a sequel on GBA! So weird.

Never played Big Brain Academy on DS, but I tried BBA Wii Degree at a friend's once, and it was actually kinda fun. But I feel like that probably had more of a party game feel than the DS game. I dunno, maybe I'll keep an eye on it.

Kuru Kuru Kururin! I've been waiting to play this forever! Outside of the 15 minutes I played of someone else's copy. Anand's?

Big Brain Academy was a blast when we played it at the Montreal meet-up, but of course the VC version doesn't have the multi, so…

@Guillaume Retro Game Club for Kuru Kuru Kururin? Dunno if there'd actually be much interest/participation, but it has the feel of an RGC game to me!

I might check out Kurururururururin or Polarium if anyone recommends 'em. Could use a little puzzler on the Wii U.

Big Brain Academy Wii Degree would make more sense than the DS game as a VC title.

@nate38

Could be fun.

I own Big Brain Academy on Wii. It's pretty damn fun!

Omg Oddworld is very tempting. It's better on PS4 though :/ I've loved that game since I played the PS1 original when I was like 12. Amazing atmosphere. Right up my alley.

I was playing the original on the PS3 a while back and I got horribly stuck somewhere. Wasn't sure if I broke the game or what.

Did Cutie Pets Go Fishing come out this week?

Kururin Paradise is the better of the two handheld games in the series, but the fact that the series has made it stateside is so very, very cool. I've imported and adore all three Kururin games and have been hoping for more. I'll gladly take, and support, a stateside VC release of Kuru Kuru Kururin. What a welcome surprise!

Played a little bit of Kuru Kuru Kururin last night. It's fun! But as always, I wish it were on 3DS VC. It seems like a perfect lil' portable game.

Also, nothing like the Wii U VC to remind you how voice-sample-crazy Nintendo was in the GBA's early years. Kururin being a challenging arcade game that tracks faultless runs means I'm constantly restarting courses as soon as I make a mistake, and the constant "STAWT!" 's are quickly becoming grating.

It's pretty much just as bad as the martinetisation of Super Mario Advance.

"Just what I needed!"

I too have picked up Kuru Kuru Kururin. It's simple and fun, and a nice challenge. And the Hare top scores for each stage seem really daunting! I got a few top scores in the Training stages, but that's it so far.

@Guillaume
It was probably mine, and it was probably also Kururin Paradise, from my GBA import fun case (also featuring Umihara Kawase DS and Rhythm Tengoku)!

The lack of multiplayer is a shame. It's even more of a shame for Big Brain Academy, since eight-player single-cart think-offs are the main appeal of that title. I wonder how hard it would be to mimic the DS' communication capabilities.

How many sales do you all think "Cutie Pets Go Fishing (Nintendo eShop on Wii U)" makes?

I think the lack of screens is the bigger issue. If these DS Virtual Console games hit the system they SHOULD be on, rather than what they got dumped on for some reason, then it wouldn't be an issue.

It's too bad Nintendo is putting these multiplayer games on Wii U Virtual Console when multiplayer isn't possible. Focus on the single-player DS games (and GBA games for that matter) and once you've figured out how to do portable multiplayer on a console, THEN put them on the eShop, Nintendo.

Or just put them on 3DS like they should be, dammit.

Anyone know what "reworked gameplay" means in regards to Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty? I have the original Oddworld on Steam so if this is basically just a graphics upgrade I'll play it there instead.
