Why not sign up for a (free) account?

Shin Megami Tensei IV is a great price! I already have it though. Well, technically my brother does, but that basically means me.

I'm going to wait on S.T.E.A.M. and maybe play it this summer when I have more time, but I feel bad because I want to support new IPs and especially one from Intelligent Systems.

The reviews for that have been so so. I still want to check it out, but one complaint a lot of people have sounds like it would really, really bug me... LONGGGG waiting for the AI to finish turns. Blah.

@Zero
Yup, that sort of soured the demo for me and I've heard that the waits can be even longer in the real game, the internets is probably exaggerating (shocking!) but I've heard the waits can can be upwards of a minute. That's a bit insane if it happens every move.

@Zero

What is that game all about? I've heard it mentioned so many times but know nothing of it.

@Zero and @deathly_hallows

I wonder if you can speed up the enemies' turns? Like in Fire Emblem Awakening if you held the A button...

Lots of good sales this week! I want to see how much the Ace Attorney Trilogy is discounted for. I already own all of those on DS, but having them digitally would be cool.

@DrFinkelstein

It's a JRPG. Pretty hardcore stuff. The story focuses on Flynn, a Samurai who protects the medieval Kingdom of Mikado from attacks by hostile demons. When a mysterious Black Samurai begins transforming the population into devils, Flynn and three companions are sent to capture her. The pursuit of the Black Samurai drags Flynn and his comrades into a startling revelation and a power struggle between angelic and demonic forces. I'm pretty sure Gui enjoyed it.

Finally, I'll grab Mighty Switch Force 2! And maybe Outrun. Could use a new racing game on 3DS.

The Codename Steam situation is unfortunate. I love Intelligent Systems. I love Advance Wars and Fire Emblem. But the demo for Steam didn't really do it for me. And from what I hear the wait on the enemy's turn is the same in the full game as the demo. I'm sure I'll get it eventually, but not today. Because today it's time for some OUTRUN!!! Woo!!! I don't know why I'm so excited, but this game is so much fun. I hope the 3D is boss.

I'm tempted to get Outrun. I used to love playing it in the arcades and on the Master System. I wonder if the game still holds up...

Great day for sales today for me. 3D Sega Classics at half price, and Mighty Switch Force 2 for 11 SEK. Not sure when I'll have time to play them all, but who cares!

@r_hjort Is 3D Sonic half off? Interesting. I've been meaning to own Sonic the Hedgehog on a fifth platform for some time now...

@nate38
Oh, sorry for getting your hopes up! The 3D Sega sales are only going on in Europe/Australia as far as I know. Besides, Sonic and Fantasy Zone aren't included in the sale, unfortunately. The 3D Sonic version is frickin' sweet no matter the price, though. M2 does a fantastic job with the emulation and all the extra options they include.

@r_hjort Yeah, I read all those interviews on Siliconera from the 3D Classics team, I didn't understand half of the technical jargon but their earnest enthusiasm for the 3D Classics line was pretty infectious. And I'm always up for new ways to experience the classic Sonic games.

@nate38
It is infectious! Almost makes me want to buy games I never really cared about in the first place. I just have to mention the settings included in 3D Sonic because they are aaawesome!

You can play the Japanese or the International version, you can choose which type of Mega Drive/Genesis system you want emulated, you can choose if you want to enable Spin Dash or not, you can choose to enable stage selection, you have two different types of 3D display to choose from -- hell, you can even decide if you want the display to mimick an old CRT screen! Oh yeah, and you can obviously adjust control input and stuff like that too.

Plus, the actual game is as fantastic as ever.

EDIT: It seems all the Mega Drive games have those options I mentioned. Well, apart from the Spin Dash and the stage selection.

@DrFinkelstein To be honest I haven't played it so I can't say for sure, but if it is like the other mainline SMT games it is an RPG with a focus on collecting / merging demons. And a weird, super dramatic story that lets you choose alignments from a grid system based off of the D&D law - neutral - chaos / light - neutral - dark thingy.

Oh shit Trine is out??

And I get 20% off for owning Trine 2??

@r_hjort

Bleh. I was kinda hoping Afterburner would be in the list.

Nope.

Ah well. I'll console myself with Metroid: Zero Mission. Although I might hold off playing for a bit, I'm still running through the Prime Trilogy.

Maybe a GBA Metroid RGC a little later when it hits the NA shop?

Might have gotten Punch out Wii as well, but it's not on sale like the other Wii VC games were? Why the fuck not?

@Shadowlink
Wasn't it in the list? I could have sworn I saw that mentioned in the official PR earlier this week, but I guess not.
