It should be noted that Jett Rocket II: The Wrath of Taikai is also now available, as well as the demo for LEGO: Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril. They were (oddly enough) both released on the 3DS eShop...yesterday. I have no idea why then and not TODAY, but...whatevs! Game and demo are available now!
@Jargon@TriforceBun I wasn't really counting Rayman and Wii Fit U. Rayman because it seemed more like special stages created for its own thing (plus it's gone now), and Wii Fit U because I thought it was the full game with a one month free trial, but is also temporary.
I mean something like the Wonderful 101 demo, which is the only demo I have been able to find. Are the demos for NBA2K, Trine 2, Chasing Aurora, Sonic Racing, FIFA, and ZombiU still up? If so, how do I locate them?
@anon_mastermind Huh, guess I missed it. I'll have to take another look.
@Jargon How odd. I can still go back and download the very first 3DS demo released, so I wonder why they're limited on Wii U? Oh well, thanks for explaining.
I think you can still download them, what I mean is you can only play them a certain amount of times. Similar to Wii Fit U, except it's number of times you open the demo, rather than based on number of days since you first played the game.
@Jargon Oh, okay. I'll have to take a look, I just visited the shop once when I first got the system. Only the Wonderful 101 demo came up when I searched for software that was free, but maybe the other ones are hiding somewhere. I can search for the specific games now that I know what the demos were.
I found the demo category buried deep within the clutter on the front page, amongst other non-related items. Wow, this shop has an even worse layout than the 3DS, which is really saying something. The Wii shop is way better than both. No idea why only the one demo showed up in a search either. Oh well, at least I know how it works now. I queued up all the demos, which is gonna take a while to download. Good thing I can pause them so that I can turn the system off and finish the rest another time.
@Mop it up Yeah, it's probably good to be cautious. But the Wii U runs a whole hell of a lot cooler than the Wii in standby. Bugs would always gather around my Wii in standby. And then die. It was like their holy land.
