Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl is a remake/retelling of the first Etrian Odyssey game that saw a release on the Nintendo DS.
This is a role-playing game with an emphasis on exploration and challenging battles. While preserving the series' traditional gameplay through "Classic Mode", Etrian Odyssey Untold also includes a "Story Mode". This mode expands the story of the original game and is played with predetermined characters as opposed to custom characters in classic mode. Cutscenes created by Japanese animation studio Madhouse are a part of story mode, as well as voice acting.
The soundtrack, composed by Yuzo Koshiro, has been arranged, though the original music is also selectable.
