Discuss Mario's Picross in its
official discussion thread!
Mario's Picross was released in 1995. It is a collection of nonogram logic puzzles involving a grid with numbers for every row and column, which refer to the amount of marked squares within the grid. The game features Mario as an archaeologist who chisels away to form images on the grid.
There were no more Picross games from Nintendo outside of Japan until 2007's non-Mario-themed
Picross DS, developed by Mario's Picross developer Jupiter.
On August 4, 2011, the game was re-released for the
Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console system in the U.S.
