Anyone playing this? The premise is cool—tiny speedrunning challenges building up to longer runs—but looking up the list of challenges, the game doesn't go far enough with it! There are only like ten challenges per game. I want it to train me to speedrun the entirety of Zelda or Metroid!

Yeah I have the same issue. Granted, put a timer on anything and I'll probably have some fun with it. I even enjoyed both NESR games a lot but that was because it was a new premise and new games for each one. But it's the fact that the baker's dozen worth of games here are all ones I've done before in NESR, plus the lack of the fun remixed levels that really lets me down.

And yeah, some meatier challenges would be more than welcome. But I think that's because Nintendo doesn't want to give away their full games anymore (ever since the Wii gen).

I've been playing it. It's fine and fun in small doses. Unfortunately, the lag is incredibly noticeable and the responsiveness, even with a pro controller, is very frustrating with many of the games that require almost perfect execution to get an S rank on challenges. The "master" challenges at the end of each game are a welcome "meal" of the game and a pretty good test.

@Secret_Tunnel It would’ve been a cool twist if you just found out that each full game was included once you defeat the challenges, so the ultimate challenge is to speed run the actual full game.

I'm mostly interested in it for local multi.

Otherwise, NES Remix was kind of more appealing.

YES.

Sadly we don't get unlockables like this much from Nintendo anymore. Although to be fair, Pikmin 4 did surprise me with it's Pikmin 1-style Olimar side story!
