So I got this as a free download since I'm a Might No. 9 backer...not a bad little game. Reminds me of one of the lower-tier Mega Man games...easy to blast through, but still fun to play. I don't see the game itself lasting longer than an hour if you beat it with each character, but since it was free for anyone that's playing it, a nice bonus.

Why not sign up for a (free) account?

...and I finished it. I only died three times with Beck (twice at the first boss, once at the fourth). Short, but sweet. I might come back to it if I need a quick action fix.

Yeah, it's a short little game - kind of reminds me of the miniature Mega Man game that you can unlock in Mega Man ZX Advent. I beat it as Beck, went back and played through a bit as Gunvolt. It's almost an entirely different game with a different character.

It's a cool freebie - which is the perfect price for something so short and sweet.

I wonder if this would have been something I would have paid $20 or so for, back in 1990 on the original Gameboy.

I thought it was pretty mediocre. It's aping NES games without really trying hard to be good or perhaps without understanding what made them fun.

It's no Shovel Knight.

Probably why it's free.

It will be $4 once it stops being given away for free with AS Gunvolt.

IMO this and something like Ikachan are pretty cute games that still probably aren't worth paying for.

Ikachan at least had some charm to it. This was just an attempt at a lower-tier Mega Man game (about on par with 4, but 4 was more fleshed out). I still enjoyed it, but I probably wouldn't have paid for it.

I did enjoy the 80s translation that went with it though...the Inafking reference at the end made me smile.

Yeah, I wasn't big on it. I played through it as Beck in about 20 minutes and only dabbled with the other two characters. It's an acceptable freebie, but I would have been disappointed if I'd put any money into it.

Oh my god, are you serious?

After getting the bad ending in Azure Striker Gunvolt, I decided to take a break with this game.
It probably took me about 45 minutes to an hour to play through with all three characters, but it was a nice, relaxing break from the action of the game I had just been playing.

It is certainly not worth purchasing on its own, but it's a nifty extra.
I especially like how the bosses follow their Azure patterns but in a more subdued way.

This is definitely more of a companion game for ASV than Mighty No. 9 (or the angel girl game thing), so it is a good idea to play through that first for full enjoyment.

Neat!
