Anyone picked up Ghosts for Wii U? So far the campaign is fun and the online as addictive as ever. Heading online right now, actually.

The online multi is all right. Takes some getting used to (I kept trying to swing the remote for my melee attack, like in the Conduit series, instead of hitting down on the D-pad.) Extinction is decently challenging, in that you have to hunt down money and spend it to generate boxes of ammo, turrets, and, weirdly enough, to activate traps that are already there.

The more I play of it, the more I think of games like The Conduit, Red Steel 2, even Medal of Honour Vanguard for Wii, and want to go back to playing those.

I'm currently still playing Black Ops 2. I don't think I'll buy this one until it's super cheap. I was bummed to see no DLC for BO2. Any plans for it with this game?

Nope, there won't be DLC for this on Wii U. Sucks, I guess, but I don't like CoD enough to fork out extra cash for map packs so I don't mind. Player count was about 2000 this afternoon.

There must be something I'm missing with the whole no dlc deal. I mean they've already got the online servers and the other consoles have the map packs made for them. I'm sure they already have a porting process. Is it really that much of a risk? Maybe Nintendo's pay out system makes it a risky business move since we have a smaller console base.

Something about how Activision operates. None of their games are available for purchase on the eShop, so it's not surprising the DLC won't be available either...

I enjoyed Black Ops II on Wii U and look forward to picking this one up further down the line.

I don't have this for WiiU but I am playing it quite a bit on Xbox 360. I haven't had the chance to play with my brother and sister online yet. We played BO2 quite a bit. But I did play with them on the same TV split screen, but I do horribly when I play like that. I need my whole TV and sound. However when I was over there for Xmas I made a loadout specifically for split screen. Silenced LMG with a tracker sight if I remember correctly. I think the tracker and thermal sights are kinda cheap so I don't really use them. But with my reduced screen size and lowered resolution (they don't have their 360 hooked up with HDMI) I find it necessary.

I've been playing this game since it came out and I've now reached a point where I feel like I've achieved pretty much all I want. I finally got my K/D up above 1. I reached prestige with my main character. I've unlocked all the outfits for my characters I want. The one area that's still new to me is sniping. I've only just started embracing using the sniper rifle on the larger levels. I'll also probably start killing my K/D by going after certain other operations or camo unlocks. I never bought any DLC maps for BO2 because I came into the game so late, but I may for Ghosts.

Gamestop has a Wii U deluxe for $250 right now, and CoD is something I might pick up if I was to buy one, I haven't played a console CoD since World @ War! (which I thought was pretty good)

Which is better, Blops 2 or Ghost? For some reason Blops seems more appealing, I guess it's all the bad reviews for Ghost...

Blops 2 is a bit better overall IMO, but I wonder how many are still playing it online. Ghosts isn't as bad as reviews say, it's just a very predictable game with some cool moments in the campaign.

It would be cool to get a Negative World community game night for something shootery, doesn't really matter which game it would be fun, back on the IGN boards we had a really good time with Medal of Honor 2 on Wii and that wasn't a very good game.

What about Goldeneye on Wii? Can you play that game on Wii U with the new pro controller (or better yet directly on the gamepad)? That would be cool.

A lot of people/reviews/podcasters say pretty negative things about Ghosts' single player. And while it isn't great, I liked it more than Blops 2's single player. I didn't really like that until it got to the near future. All the stuff in the past wasn't as good.

As far as the online mutliplayer goes, it's still a toss up in my head. Blops 2 was my first online FPS and I really took to how they did leveling up. Not only with your character but with your weapons as well. Ghosts is pretty wide open right from the beginning with the exception of perks. I felt a bit overwhelmed with all the choices of guns and attachments.

Ghosts has some huge maps compared to Blops 2. And my general playstyle worked pretty well with those maps in BO2. My only problem is that the community seems to only want to play Hijacked and especially Nuke Town. Which are fun maps, but it generally goes something like this. Play Nuke Town -> everyone chooses Nuke Town again -> play random level -> what do you know? Nuke Town again -> repeat. You can replace NT with Hijacked and it'll be the same thing. So be prepared to play those two levels at least 50% of the time.

Ghosts doesn't seem to have that same problem. Half of the people in the lobby may back out when Siege is picked. But I usually get a good selection of levels in that game.

Thanks, good to know. I think I would go ahead and get Ghost, especially if more people on NW are playing it.
