Game 1: In a matchup that seemed destined from the start, two iconic 16 bit RPGs squared off (see what I did there?) in the semifinals. In the end, Chrono Trigger prevailed over Final Fantasy VI and earned itself a spot in the finals.

Game 2: Portal 2 was at a disadvantage by default on this Nintendo-centric forum, but it put up a valiant fight against the higher ranked Resident Evil 4 before eventually succumbing by a slim margin. Will the Gamecube survival horror title take the crown?

I find it interesting how there was a bit more of a voting spread with FF VI and CT than in the recent poll, though there were also less votes than that poll so that probably explains it.

I pretty much expected Chrono Trigger to win it all, and I can't imagine Resident Evil 4 being the game to upset it now.

Expected results, I think.
