At last, it's time for the long awaited sequel to my top 10 NES Games list. Or as I like to call it, "Top 10 Mega Man games". And I'll be damned if I can't find some way to fit as many Mega Man games as possible into this follow-up... (more)

Aw yeah, itís the sequel that nobody wanted or asked for! You may have already read about my top 10 turtles in a Nintendo game, so why not waste more of your precious and ever-dwindling life on another pointless top 10 list before the dark void takes us all?.. (more)

I'll cut right to the chase: I think the Ace Attorney games have some of the best plots, characters, and storytelling in any video game. Rarely have I been as compelled to see what happens next as I do playing a good Ace Attorney case. So here are my top ten favorite cases from the whole series, in order!.. (more)

I like turtles! Thatís no surprise to most of the members here, but few probably know the extent to which turtles were involved in the lives of myself and my family. Turtles were pretty much always a huge part of my childhood as far back as I can remember, and at one point we owned something like 30 of them at once! Some of the turtles that we owned were probably not quite legal, as we often got hand-me-downs from friends of the family who found a turtle in the wild, took it home to keep as a pet, realized they had no idea what they were doing, and passed it on to the only people in their circle that might know what to do with wild turtles, my turtle-loving family. So yeah, between the ones we bought and the ones that were given to us, we ended up with a lot of turtles... (more)

I was a late-comer to the NES party, as I didn't have one growing up. It wasn't until a few years ago that I got my NES, but I was able to enjoy games for the system years before that thanks to the Virtual Console. Owning the system allowed me to fill in gaps in my library that the VC can't, so I've been able to play plenty more titles than I would have otherwise... (more)

Weíve done practically every other Nintendo franchise with at least 10 entries at this point (actually probably not even close, but whatever), itís time for Donkey Kong! One of Nintendoís oldest living franchises, Donkey Kong is still cranking out the hits. Sure, the franchise spawned the Super Mario games, which went on to become much more successful than the Donkey Kong games ever did, but donít write off the big ape! There are many great Donkey Kong games in the Nintendo library to check out, maybe even more than you realize!.. (more)

Do you often find yourselves in the situation of having to entertain people who don't play video games? It happens to me fairly often. Whether only a few members of a larger group (read: friends' wives) or an entire crowd, I always think of it as my responsibility to try to enlighten them regarding the magic of video games. They're good, clean fun!.. (more)

It's the beginning of a new year, so now is the time to look back on the past year and see what kind of games stood out the most. Because...why not. It's tradition, or something? I'll admit I spent a large majority of last year playing a game that came out in 2014. Namely, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U. That said, 2015 did have some incredible games that were completely worth playing. So without further ado, here are the ones that stood out the most to me... (more)

Believe it or not, Kid Icarus: Uprising is still my (current) Game of the Generation. It's not really a critical darling, but there's so much I love about it that it's always a joy to revisit (despite my wrist's complaining). But my absolute favorite aspect of the game just might be its awesome cast. They're universally well-written and have terrific acting across the board, and really elevated the game into something special for me. So without further ado, here're my ten favorites!.. (more)
