Not in a horror movie way, but in a drarma way. (Well, you can list games that have any kind of emotional effect, but I'm more interested in games that can actually touch your heart in some way.) I'm actually the sappiest, easiest target for human drama in almost any form. Any form except games, that is. They leave my perennially moistened eyes absolutely dry. I don't know if it's the form or the execution, but, yeah. They just don't do it for me. Let me try to think of some exceptions... Super Metroid, I guess. I don't know if was emotional, but Drakengard and Shadow of Destiny kind of resonated with me, somehow. The end of Conker was bizarrely moving, in a totally unearned way... (more)

Though the tech may be interesting, and one day, someone will make a playable ghost-hunting game (with a PK Meter!), I'm not convinced that a great game will ever be born from it... (more)

After all, those guys aren't paid well enough to actually do some legwork. They'd need contractual stipulations for Platinum parachutes, at the very least... (more)

I do not have an iPhone. But I will hate it forever, because a new Ghouls'n'Ghosts game is underway for it, rather than a console I own. Fuck you, iPhone... (more)

Seriously, the PSP gets so many exclusive (Japanese) games, huge Squeenix games, classic franchise revivals, and niche games. If the hardware is similar enough for the Wii to port down to, why aren't PSP games ever ported up to the Wii? Japanese devs are always talking about how they have to shift their focus to appeal to a global audience. Well, shit don't get more global than the Wii (except for the DS). Is Squeenix really going to be satisfied with the brief, flickering flame of sales they will get for, say, Final Fantasy Agito XIII and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep on the PSP in America and Europe? Why not get some global exposure and build a fanbase for their games with a quick, cheap Wii port? Do they, in fact, genuinely dislike sales, like Rockstar, apparently, with their lack of GTA 3 Trilogy on the Wii?.. (more)

Self-explanatory. I don't want to skew the discussion, so I'll be brief, for now... (more)

I know, I know. Most people who talk about third-parties on Wii are stupid and biased, or, at the very least, ignorant. Their 'analysis' is often full of holes and just pure misinformation. Dead Space: Extraction should've been a blockbuster hit? No More Heroes was a bomb for Suda? Third-party games don't sell on Wii? AAA third-party games don't make their money back (have there been any)? And so on and so on... (more)
