I do not have an iPhone. But I will hate it forever, because a new Ghouls'n'Ghosts game is underway for it, rather than a console I own. Fuck you, iPhone... (more)

Seriously, the PSP gets so many exclusive (Japanese) games, huge Squeenix games, classic franchise revivals, and niche games. If the hardware is similar enough for the Wii to port down to, why aren't PSP games ever ported up to the Wii? Japanese devs are always talking about how they have to shift their focus to appeal to a global audience. Well, shit don't get more global than the Wii (except for the DS). Is Squeenix really going to be satisfied with the brief, flickering flame of sales they will get for, say, Final Fantasy Agito XIII and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep on the PSP in America and Europe? Why not get some global exposure and build a fanbase for their games with a quick, cheap Wii port? Do they, in fact, genuinely dislike sales, like Rockstar, apparently, with their lack of GTA 3 Trilogy on the Wii?.. (more)

I know, I know. Most people who talk about third-parties on Wii are stupid and biased, or, at the very least, ignorant. Their 'analysis' is often full of holes and just pure misinformation. Dead Space: Extraction should've been a blockbuster hit? No More Heroes was a bomb for Suda? Third-party games don't sell on Wii? AAA third-party games don't make their money back (have there been any)? And so on and so on... (more)

This is an idea Anandxxx and I were throwing around a bit, I want to see if there is much interest in doing it. Basically it would be a semi-regular (weekly? bi-weekly? monthly?) roundtable where we discuss one or another hot topics in the current game industry. The only major difference between this and half the other threads around here is A. it is posted publicly on the front page of the Negative World and B. it is focused and (I HOPE) people will try to join in every time so we can get a set of regulars contributing to it. We should probably post some questions in each roundtable to start things off but really, any on-topic conversation is fine, the questions should be looked at more as a mere means to spur on conversation...
