First things first, I'm loving the new Animal Crossing. If it weren't for the NES games in the Gamecube version, it'd be the Best version yet, easy. Tons of things to do (and buy), tons of details, tons of charm, all of that good stuff. (Today, I learned that you can sit on tree stumps!) But, MAN, that interface. It's so freaking clunky! Why?! I mean, the improvements that they can make are SO obvious. Like, do you really have to CHOOSE the fossils that you want examined? What good are unexamined fossils?! Hey, why not just automatically have them examined when you walk into the museum? Why not automatically place coins into your wallet? Why not automatically try on clothes when you're looking at them?.. (more) |

I've been thinking about the controversy over Retro making Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (which really sounds like a frozen drink you can get for a limited time at Dunkin Donuts) instead of making Metroid Prime 4 or some other epic. Part of the disappointment is definitely over the fact that the Wii U already has a decent amount of 2D platformers on the way, but I also think that there's just a general feeling that a company of Retro's talents should be putting their skills towards something more worthy of their time... I've noticed that I haven't been spending as much time playing 3DS at home, especially now that I moved into a smaller apartment, and the Wii U location easily allows me to take the gamepad anywhere for off-TV Wii U play. I still take the 3DS everywhere I go, but at home when I'm just feeling like a quick gaming session, I'm more often tempted to grab the gamepad than my 3DS. Obviously, it's all about what game you want to play, but at times when I'm not feeling anything in particular and just grab a device, it seems I have been neglecting my 3DS... (more)

I'm playing A Link to the Past right now, and I always feel sorry for the little elephant looking dude selling bombs in the place that should be Link's house in the Dark World. Also, I don't like to leave a single fairy floating around by themselves in a Fairy Spring just so they won't be lonely. I know, it's weird... (more)

They are all the same color, they are all precious stones, and they all come together to grant access to the Master Sword. In addition, the Pendant of Courage, for example, was lost during the time of the Great War and the 7 Sages. That means that this pendant, and, presumably, the other two, existed during the Ocarina of Time and were important during that time if they were guarded by the knights (Link's line).
