I figure this game should have a discussion thread, although I'm guessing most of the discussion already happens on Miiverse. Every time I boot this game up and lose a couple of hours messing around in the dungeons, fighting off some colourful variants of skeletons and ghouls in the land of the dead, I feel compelled to post a new drawing to Miiverse and see what others are saying... I love Legos. Always have. Always will. As I get older and discover the little bit of disposable income, I've found that besides video games, I occasionally will splurge on a Lego set. There's just something about the miniature world of Legos. Their mimicry of the real or fantasy worlds we're used to is something special. This new game, which releases in less than a week now, looks to take the Lego concept, strip it of it's usual franchise licensing, and do something in a complete new direction... (more)

Looks like this game is coming out on April 16th now. It's probably a good idea to move out of March with Monster Hunter, Need for Speed and Lego City all coming out... (more)

This game just released for $2.99 on the eShop. It's a fun little pick up and play game, and the price is right. Let's discuss the game and post our high scores... (more)

According to our database, not a lot of people have played this game (only Gojira has rated it! Shinriley is also a proud owner). Surely there would be some interest in a classic Sega Genesis game made by Treasure (especially one that wasn't released in the U.S. in the first place)? Even though it's not Gunstar Heroes, which sadly I haven't played in its original form (though I love the GBA remake), Alien Soldier is pretty cool in its own way... (more)

Having the main thread about this game be the IGN outlier review's thread seems wrong... (more)

So after completing Dragon Quest VI, I've chosen that Chinatown Wars was the next game to knock off my backlog. I'm not in the mood to follow an RPG up with another RPG (which is mainly what my backlog is made out of), and this is a lengthy game that will feel good to put behind me. Plus, it came up recently on RFN and that reminded me that it is super fun. There's no good reason why I stopped playing it other than something newer and shinier came along... (more)

Ogre Battle is one of my favorite series' in the history of the universe. The second I saw the Wii and the Wii Remote I though "Ogre Battle, it is PERFECT!" We did never get it, but we were teased with the prospects as they released both Ogre Battle and the superior Ogre Battle 64 pretty darn close to each other. While we don't have a new game, we do have this first game in the series, and a cult following who can't get enough of the SNES Strategy / Sim-RPG... (more)

So, yeah. I just finished this game. Welcome to five years ago! I'm not sure what possessed me to start it back up again. But I was probably inspired by receiving Mask of Miracle in the mail and throwing it into my ever-growing pile of Layton games... (more)

Eternal Darkness - Some say it's 'ok' - others say it was 'truly great'. I'm in the second camp. This game had a lot going for it - different characters with individual stories and movement patterns, three different paths for the player to take - each with their own set of monsters and difficulties, and a wonderful magic system that let you experiment and create new spells even if you didn't have all the set codecs yet to know exactly what your new spell did...
