The third phase of Round 1 completed with results that weren't so 'neck and neck'. People were generally decisive on these despite the opposing views... (more)

The final set of 16 stages... which are the weakest? There are a few variants of some already voted on stages, a few unique ones, some classics, and for my money... I think the Trophy Bracket just might have my favorite set of stages so far. Lots of tough choices here for me... how about for you?.. (more)

The second round means we're chugging along! At least one more N64 level makes it through! Could our favorite come from the very first game? Time will tell... (more)

Well the first round was quite fun! It seems like choices were pretty easy for people, but still, many matches were pretty close. Here's who is moving on!.. (more)

The next round begins! I will try to post NEW polls every two days or so, even if the other still has a little time left. It really just depends on my schedule at the time. Results will come around the same time too. For now though, I present the second bracket in this big event and that's the Lip's Stick Bracket. Good evening fellow Negative Worlders! In hot anticipation of the upcoming Super Smash Bros. games, I've decided to find out what is the favorite Super Smash Bros. stage from the past games as decided by Negative World! After Jargon's very successful March Madness Bracket earlier this year, I thought it would be great to use that style once again. Here's a few notes and stipulations... (more)

So you may or may not have known this, but Chicago is getting its own indie game festival. This makes me excited. It's also no big surprise to me because it is being run by people who hang out at the same things I do, but it's sort of a surprise in the sense that all I knew was *something* was going on. And some of my friends will be DJing there... (more)

The show is over, the Treehouse has ceased streaming, and many seem to agree it was not only Nintendo's finest E3 in a while but the best way forward when it comes to presenting and demonstrating games... (more)

I love Chicago and I love indie games so I want a place to talk about them. I plan to use this as an ongoing thread to talk about various projects people that I may or may not know are involved in that are either upcoming or already released. Also, you can check out Indie City Games and IGDA Chicago for more information on the Chicago indie video game development scene... (more)
